Chapter 70 - Chapter 70 - The Green-Haired Demon Queen, Gavial!

...Meanwhile, Lucian had no idea about Scout's concerns.

But honestly, he didn't have time to worry about such things anyway.

After finishing his combat test and successfully obtaining his Guard operator certification, he apparently still needed to write his own operator file.

According to Folinic, Rhodes Island fully respected each operator's autonomy. What to write in their personal file, how to write it, who to have write it—all of that was up to them.

But Lucian couldn't be bothered with any of it.

So he played the hands-off boss and dumped all that troublesome work on Exusiai and the others.

The result? The Penguin Logistics girls were falling over each other to write Lucian's file, each more eager than the last.

They hadn't even written a single word of their own files, yet here they were fighting over his. Who knows what they planned to put in there. Weird.

Lucian took the opportunity to slack off and headed back to the medical room with Folinic.

Though he'd become a Guard operator, what Lucian actually wanted most was to be a Medic operator.

After all, his blood could treat Oripathy. If he was going to cooperate with Rhodes Island—a company that claimed to be a pharmaceutical enterprise—they'd definitely need to develop more professional medicine than just blood candy in the future.

Lucian would never repeat the mistakes of his Holy Son days.

How his blood was used, what consequences it would have—he had to personally oversee all of it. He would never let his blood be exploited again.

And so, Lucian said to Folinic:

"Miss Folinic, please teach me medicine!"

His thinking was this:

Besides his Holy Son blood—that cheat-level product—it was about time he learned some proper medical skills.

Otherwise, if something happened later on, it would be pretty embarrassing if he could cure Oripathy but couldn't even treat a simple wound.

Folinic blinked. "Miss Folinic? You're calling me Miss?" She giggled. "Hehe~ Miss Folinic...~!"

Being called "Miss" by Lucian made Folinic float on air, and it eased the nervousness she'd felt after witnessing his terrifying combat power during the test.

But just then—

A green demon queen descended upon the medical room!

"Oh? You want to learn medicine?"

A fierce-looking operator in black medical attire had overheard them.

She was grinning wildly, radiating an overwhelming aura of dominance:

"Perfect timing. I'm bored out of my mind anyway—I'll teach you!"

Folinic frantically waved her hands. "G-G-Gavial! Please wait, he's not a new recruit for the medical department! He's already passed the Guard operator test. He only wants to learn medicine as a hobby..."

The beauty named Gavial flashed a toothy grin. "Even better!"

"A Guard with a healer's heart? Right up my alley! I'm taking him!"

Seeing that there was no stopping her, Folinic covered her face in despair and shut down on the spot.

This woman—who appeared to be a Medic operator but exuded the aura of a fighting game final boss—walked up to Lucian.

She didn't seem to care at all that he was ten centimeters taller than her. One finger lifted his chin:

"Hmm, nice face. Solid build too. You look like you can take a beating."

"Uh, Miss Gavial?"

Lucian tried calling out to her. "I don't quite understand—what does being able to take a beating have to do with learning medicine?"

Her grin widened. "Drop the 'Miss.' Call me Gavial. Or 'Big Sis' works too."

Despite meeting this man for the first time, she wasn't distant at all.

One hand cupped Lucian's face—seventy percent appraising, thirty percent teasing—as she continued:

"To learn medicine, you obviously need patients with injuries first. But how do you ensure a steady supply of wounds to treat? That's the real challenge."

"Then it hit me. Either beat someone else half to death and heal them. Or get yourself half-dead and heal yourself. Problem solved, right?"

This beauty spouted her utterly delinquent logic while her thick, long tail playfully climbed up Lucian's leg.

Lucian looked down and realized—this was no ordinary tail!

It was reptilian! A crocodile's, to be precise!

No soft fur—instead, smooth scales and powerful muscles.

The thick tail was even thicker than Lucian's thigh, and surprisingly long and dexterous.

This was his first time meeting someone with crocodile features. Just as fierce as he'd imagined.

He hurriedly said, "I think Folinic suits me better. Or Kal'tsit, even. I'll just go find her."

Gavial raised an eyebrow. "Kal'tsit doesn't have time, you know. She's swamped with her own work, constantly popping stimulants just to keep going."

"As for Folinic—she's still an intern operator herself."

Gavial turned and called out:

"Hey, Folinic! Do you want to teach him? Or do you think you can teach better than me?"

Folinic shook her head frantically, her face scrunched into a >x< expression.

Gavial turned back to Lucian with a victorious look:

"There you have it. I'm an official Rhodes Island Medic operator. My patient satisfaction rate is two hundred percent. Learn from me, and you can't go wrong!"

She gave Lucian absolutely no chance to refuse.

As if to prevent him from escaping, she wrapped her tail around his leg with a happy grin:

"First, let's beat each other up, pretty boy! Whether it's your injuries or mine, they'll all become hands-on teaching material!"

"I, Gavial, will teach you everything—from head to toe, hand in hand!"

Gavial dragged Lucian into a random room, locked the door behind them, and proceeded to beat the crap out of each other to their hearts' content.

Lucian didn't even have a chance to refuse.

Before he could process what was happening, his body went weightless—Gavial had already shoulder-thrown him onto the ground!

This was intolerable!

Lucian was still a man with pride! Getting one-sidedly beaten? Not happening!

So he fought back seriously, which only excited Gavial more.

Folinic, who had followed them, tried to talk them down at first.

But she quickly realized it was pointless. Forget Gavial—even Lucian, now completely in the zone, was treating her like air.

Fuming, Folinic puffed her cheeks, stomped her foot, and stormed out.

She even thoughtfully locked the door behind her, turning it into a private space for just the two of them.

And so, after a full hour of passionate combat—

Gavial: "Hahaha! You're pretty good, halo boy!"

Their bodies were tangled together, rolling around on the floor.

Since it was bare-handed sparring, there was no technique—just pure instinct and wild haymakers.

In this zero-distance grappling, Lucian gritted his teeth and said:

"Who are you calling 'halo'? I have a name—it's Lucian!"

Gavial locked her grip on his arm. "Don't care."

Her body was both flexible and tough. She grabbed Lucian's wrists, wrapped her legs around him, and locked his neck.

The legendary ground technique—the armbar!

Pinning Lucian down, she continued:

"If you want me to remember your name, beat me first."

"But I thought you halo types were supposed to be frail little prettyboys. You've got guts, though. I'm having fun."

Gavial smiled with complete composure. "How about you surrender now? Call me 'Big Sis Gavial,' be a good boy and become my disciple. I won't just teach you medicine—when I'm in the mood, I'll teach you how to fight too! I guarantee you'll be undefeated on Rhodes Island—except against me!"

Lucian ground out each word: "I. Re. Fuse!"

In their current position, Gavial's thigh was pressed against his face, and his hand was wedged right against her chest.

Heaven and hell coexisting in every sense—there was no way he was giving up now!
