Chapter 3 - CHAPTER 3 — “The First Day in a Life That Isn’t His”

Li Wen sat at his new desk trying his best to look normal.

Normal.

He had never realized how impossible that word was—until he possessed a body that made even *sitting still* look like a perfume commercial.

Every time he blinked, someone stole a glance at him.

Every time he breathed, someone whispered.

Every time he existed, someone sighed loudly.

The teacher walked in, spotted Li Wen, froze, then cleared his throat twice.

"Ahem… Class, we have a transfer student. Behave."

They did not behave.

Girls giggled.

Guys scowled.

Some students pulled out their phones like paparazzi.

And in the corner, Wei Long gave him two thumbs-up like a proud father discovering his child's beauty.

Li Wen just bowed.

"H-Hello. I'm Li Wen."

Five students melted.

Another fainted.

One jealous guy kicked his chair in rage.

Li Wen sat down, wishing he could shrink into a raisin and disappear.

## **A Girl Who Noticed Too Much**

Halfway through the lesson, someone tapped his shoulder.

He turned.

A girl with long black hair and glasses stared at him with unsettling calmness.

She wasn't blushing.

Not nervous.

Not excited.

She was… examining him.

Like a detective.

Her eyes lingered a second too long on his face.

"…What?" Li Wen whispered.

"You walked the wrong way to get to this classroom."

"Huh?"

"You also hesitated for five seconds outside the school gate before entering."

Li Wen stiffened.

"And you're wearing this school's uniform like you've never worn one before."

He swallowed.

Sweat collected at the back of his neck.

"Why… are you observing me?"

"I observe everyone," she said flatly.

"That doesn't make me feel better."

The girl adjusted her glasses.

"You're interesting."

Li Wen nearly died.

"I'd rather not be!"

"Too late."

She pulled out a notebook labeled:

**"Behavioral Patterns of Unusual People — Volume 7."**

Li Wen nearly screamed.

She opened it and began writing.

Li Wen leaned forward, panicked.

"W-What are you writing!?"

"Classified."

"WHY!?"

"You blink strangely."

"That's illegal."

The class watched this like a drama.

Then a new voice interrupted:

"Don't bully the new guy."

Li Wen turned toward the doorway—

—and saw **her**.

The one girl every boy in the school knew:

**Lan Xue**, the rich transfer beauty.

Graceful, polite, untouchable.

Rumors said she lived in a mansion, was a CEO's daughter, and allegedly had a twin sister no one had ever seen.

Her eyes were gentle…

but cold underneath.

She approached Li Wen's desk.

"You're Li Wen, right? Transfer student?"

"H-Hi…"

She smiled, calm and perfect.

It sent shivers down his spine.

Not romantic ones.

Instinctive ones.

Like he was looking at someone who had **secrets that matched his own**.

"Welcome to Hengyuan High," she said softly.

Li Wen forced a smile back.

"Th-Thanks…"

But for a split second, their eyes met.

Something silent passed between them.

A flicker.

A spark.

Recognition?

No.

Impossible.

Li Wen glanced away, heart pounding.

He had no idea she had two bodies.

She had no idea he had three.

And yet… something deep in their instincts whispered:

**"Same kind."**

Both immediately pushed that feeling away.

And pretended they felt nothing.

## **First Fight**

Lunch break arrived.

Li Wen tried to eat alone.

This clearly offended the universe.

A tray slammed next to him.

He looked up—

—into the furious eyes of a short-haired athletic boy.

Muscular.

Sharp-eyed.

Radiating "fight me right now or I'll explode" energy.

This was **Zhou Jian**, the rumored strongest fighter of the first-years.

"You're the new pretty boy, right?" Zhou Jian said.

Li Wen froze mid-bite.

"Uh… yes?"

Zhou Jian jabbed a finger at him.

"Stand up."

"No."

"Stand up!"

"No??"

Zhou Jian kicked Li Wen's chair.

Li Wen fell sideways—

—but his perfect body twisted midair and landed gracefully on his feet like a gymnast.

Gasps erupted.

Zhou Jian's eyes widened.

"You dodged that?"

"N-No, my body just… reacted?"

Zhou Jian cracked his neck.

"That's enough. I challenge you. Now."

Li Wen raised both hands like surrender flags.

"No fighting! I'm peaceful! Very peaceful!"

Zhou Jian didn't care.

He threw a punch.

Li Wen panicked.

Time slowed.

His body moved.

His hand rose without thinking.

**SLAP.**

He slapped the punch aside.

Effortlessly.

Shockwave included.

The cafeteria fell silent.

Zhou Jian staggered back.

"…W-What was that?"

Li Wen stared at his own hand.

"I DON'T KNOW!! STOP FIGHTING ME!!"

Wei Long burst into the cafeteria.

"BROTHER! DON'T WORRY, JUSTICE HAS ARRIVED!"

"No it hasn't!!" Li Wen screamed.

Zhou Jian stared, stunned, angry, confused, humiliated.

Then—

A cold gaze cut across the cafeteria.

Everyone went silent.

Standing by the back wall was the **mysterious boy from Chapter 2**.

The one who moved like lightning.

The one Li Wen felt something strange around.

He watched Li Wen.

Expression unreadable.

Unblinking.

Focused.

Li Wen's heart skipped.

Why was that guy staring at him?

Was he interested?

Was he suspicious?

Or—

Could he feel the same strange pulse Li Wen felt earlier?

The boy turned away and disappeared.

Li Wen sank to the floor.

"I just wanted to eat lunch…"
