Smith found her at the lakeside spot she always visited when life felt too heavy.
"You fought for me," she whispered.
"I will always fight for you."
He knelt, heart pounding.
"Caroline Anderson… will you marry me?
Not because my world is big,
but because you're the only person who makes it worth living in."
Caroline's smile trembled.
