[Shino Aburame and his clan were shown fighting Konan.]

Kiba: "NANI?! That's it?! That's all I get?!"
Shino adjusted his glasses, calm as ever.
"Kiba, why don't you sit back… and enjoy my performance?"
Kiba gritted his teeth, unwilling to accept it—Just then, the footage changed again.
Outside Konoha
[Might Guy was returning from a mission with Neji Hyūga, Tenten, and Rock Lee.]
[The group sensed something was wrong with the village and quickly picked up their pace.]
Chūnin Exam Grounds
Tenten: "Thank goodness… I didn't die!"
Neji let out a quiet breath.
No wonder we weren't in the footage earlier — we were out on a mission.
Lee clenched his fists.
"The future version of me — faster! Youth must be lived through battle!"
The footage continued.
[On the rooftop of the Hokage's Office]
[After a brief exchange between Tsunade and Tendo Pain…]
[Pain's expression turned colder and colder. His body slowly began to rise into the sky.]
[Tendo Pain began to chant…]
"How many floors must a bag of rice be carried? To the second floor, third floor, my arms are sore… I washed so many muddy grains — yet they didn't even refund me and even cursed me."
Tsunade: "Pain! Wait—! What are you doing?!"
"So much mud on each grain! Who even wants your stupid bag of rice?!"
Pain let out a furious roar:
"Enough talk — ADD WATER!!"
BOOM!!!
In an instant, the entire Hidden Leaf Village was reduced to rubble.
The footage cut to black.
A streak of golden light shot down toward the Land of Rain — directly onto the Akatsuki base.
Uzumaki Nagato had received his reward for ranking:
100 Transformation Pills.
The entire ninja world was shaken.
"The so-called strongest Hidden Village — Konoha — just got wiped out?!"
"According to earlier intel, all six Pains are actually corpses, controlled by someone called Uzumaki Nagato… That guy's way too powerful."
"And to think I was planning to track him down and steal a Transformation Pill… That would've been suicide!"
"Look! The light landed in the Land of Rain!"
"So Nagato's in the Land of Rain? Could that mean… the Akatsuki base is there too?"
Especially the Five Great Ninja Villages — their reactions were instant.
Kumogakure (Hidden Cloud Village)
Fourth Raikage A: "One Shinra Tensei… and the entire Leaf was obliterated?!"
Mabui: "Lord Raikage, if that Tendo Pain used the same jutsu on our village… we probably wouldn't fare much better."
A: "The Akatsuki is too dangerous. We must destroy them!"
Mabui: "But Lord Raikage, the Akatsuki hasn't even made a move against us yet. Are you sure it's wise to provoke them?"
A: "Didn't you hear? They're targeting all the Tailed Beasts!"
"And worst of all… they want to force the entire world to carry bags of rice up multiple floors!"
Mabui paled: "Make the whole world carry bags of rice?! That's horrifying!"
Iwagakure (Hidden Stone Village)
Onoki: "Even I must admit… the Akatsuki's strength is terrifying."
"But to make the whole world carry rice up to the second floor — that's unforgivable!"
Kurotsuchi: "Grandpa's right. Forcing everyone to carry rice up flights of stairs — that's way out of line!"
Onoki: "It's time. I must contact the other villages — it's time we unite… and eliminate the Akatsuki."
Sunagakure (Hidden Sand Village)
Granny Chiyo: "So let me get this straight—after lugging the rice, getting soaked, and scrubbing all the mud off… they still didn't return the money?!"
"Akatsuki, you've gone too far!"
"Fine then — once we ally with the other villages to deal with the Akatsuki… I'll take the chance to bring Sasori back too!"
Kirigakure (Hidden Mist Village)
Mei Terumī: "Outrageous! This is beyond excessive!"
"I expected Tsunade to screw up, but the Akatsuki's actions are too much!"
"Look at me — gorgeous, curvy, perfect in every way — and they expect me to carry rice up to the second floor?!"
Chōjūrō was still frozen, lost in the visuals he just saw.
"The strongest ninja village… reduced to nothing?"
"If the Akatsuki decides to come for Kirigakure next… we're doomed."
Konoha – Civilians and Shinobi
"Can someone tell me this is a lie? Konoha… is gone?!"
"Didn't we have the Hokage?! Why didn't she stop them?! How could we be wiped out?!"
"Is this the terror of the Akatsuki? If they ever attack again, we'll all die!"
"Who will save us…?"

Everyone — even Hiruzen Sarutobi — sat frozen in silence.
The overwhelming might the Akatsuki had just displayed… was terrifying beyond belief.
No one said a word.
They were all afraid — and yet, none had given up hope.
Because this was the future. It hadn't happened yet.
And now… they knew.
They knew the Akatsuki would attack.
They knew the enemies' abilities.
When the time came — the outcome could be changed.
Root Base
Danzo clenched his fists.
"I didn't expect Tsunade to be this useless."
"And I didn't expect Pain to be this powerful."
"If the Leaf is destroyed… what's the point of becoming Hokage?"
"If that future comes to pass, I can't just sit on the sidelines."
"Sacrifices can be made — but not total annihilation."
The Pure Land
Chaos erupted.
[Tobirama: Nii-san… Konoha's… just gone?!]
[Mito Uzumaki: Husband! Konoha can't really be destroyed… right?]
But Hashirama didn't answer.
He was furious.
[Hashirama: DAMN IT! DAMN IT ALL! How DARE they destroy the village Madara and I built with our own hands!]
Madara had been ready to mock Hashirama…But seeing the anger in his rival, he swallowed his words.
[Madara: Hashi-ramama… calm down. Konoha may not be great, but it won't fall that easily.]
[Hashirama: Madara… so you do care about Konoha!]
[Madara: Tch! Don't get it twisted. I just don't want to carry a bag of rice up to the second floor!]
[Izuna: Big bro's got a point. I don't want to wash muddy rice either!]
Just then, the scroll burst into golden light once again.
A new ranking appeared.
