Chapter 27 - Chapter 27 The Unburned

With a 'poof' sound, blood splattered everywhere in an instant!

The three mercenaries stared with wide eyes, looking at the scene before them in disbelief, then closed their eyes completely and fell to the ground with a thud.

Viserys, meanwhile, was panting heavily, his eyes still fixed on Bronn.

This was a killing move unique to Ser Willem Darry, the The Red Keep's master-at-arms, designed for surprise.

After three years of hard practice, he had finally managed to execute it perfectly once.

If it weren't for the three mercenaries before him, who were so confident of victory, they would never have lost their lives so easily!

"Good boy,"

Bronn looked at the child before him in surprise, twisted his neck, and prepared to act.

He hadn't expected Viserys's swordsmanship to have reached such a level at such a young age.

If he were given a few more years to practice, Bronn wouldn't be confident of victory in a one-on-one fight.

Seeing Bronn approach quickly with his sword, Viserys couldn't help but hold his breath, ready for battle.

Viserys naturally knew Bronn's strength.

He dared not be careless and immediately used his strongest killing move.

With a thrust of his sword, the blade instantly roared, as if the air itself was being torn apart.

This sword strike was fast, fierce, and precise!

Viserys felt himself once again transcend the limits of swordsmanship.

However, the next moment, Bronn did not block.

He dodged, instantly delivering a headbutt that caught Viserys off guard and slammed into his nose.

"Bang!"

Viserys's nose stung, and tears flowed uncontrollably.

He endured the pain, sweeping his longsword horizontally, attempting to force the man before him back.

In an instant, a tremendous force came from his waist again, and Viserys Targaryen flew backward, slamming hard against the wall.

"Damn it, is the gap really that big!"

Looking at the approaching Bronn, Viserys propped himself up with his longsword, his face full of bitterness.

He had used all his strength, yet the man before him hadn't even swung his sword!

At this moment, only one piece of advice from the The Red Keep's master-at-arms remained in his mind: among masters, no move is better than a move!

When encountering such a master, escaping is the only way to survive!

"Escape?"

Looking at the crying Daenerys behind him, Viserys Targaryen gave a wry smile.

He had fled too many times; this time, he didn't want to try to avoid the confrontation again.

His eyes narrowed, and he threw his longsword directly.

To Bronn's surprise, Viserys spat a mouthful of blood at Bronn and swung his fist towards him.

Bronn paused slightly, took a step to the side, and easily dodged Viserys's thrown longsword.

The next moment, he closed in, grabbed Viserys's neck with one hand, and pinned him high against the wall.

Suddenly, he seemed to see a look of triumph on Viserys's face.

An alarm bell rang in his heart, and he quickly retreated.

However, it was too late.

Whoosh!

A cold light flashed, and blood splattered five paces.

A sharp pain shot through Bronn's left hand, and he retreated repeatedly.

At this moment, Viserys Targaryen stood before Bronn, holding the valyrian dagger reversed in one hand, his face fierce.

When rivals meet, the brave one wins!

In this exchange, Viserys Targaryen clearly had the upper hand.

Unfortunately, Bronn was ultimately experienced and cunning.

Even though Viserys used a trick, he only managed to scratch Bronn's left hand.

Looking at Viserys's cold, blood-stained face, Bronn paused slightly, then drew the longsword from his waist.

Clearly, he no longer intended to give Viserys any more time to stall.

The next moment, with a "bang," just as Bronn was momentarily stunned, the door to the image hall was finally opened by Rhaenys.

Thump-thump-thump!

Immediately after, dense footsteps echoed from the end of the empty corridor.

Bronn knew that countless soldiers were about to swarm in.

Even if he killed Viserys with all his might at this moment, he would absolutely not be able to leave Dragonstone.

Without any hesitation, he pulled Daenerys to him, placed his sword at her throat, and then retreated repeatedly.

"Let go of Dany!"

Seeing this, Rhaenys Targaryen shouted loudly.

Ser Willem Darry and the others also finally arrived, led by Rhaenys.

"If you want to ensure her safety, retreat all of you immediately!"

Bronn said with a cold face.

As he spoke, the longsword had already drawn streaks of blood on Daenerys's fair neck.

Though he, Bronn, loved money, he was definitely not a desperate bandit!

His only option now was to settle for less, attempting to take Daenerys hostage and escape from the image hall's cliff edge by rope.

However, the next moment, Viserys's words completely sealed off his last hope.

"Light the fire!"

Viserys Targaryen stared at the man before him and said coldly.

Upon hearing this, not only was the mercenary Bronn stunned, but even Ser Willem Darry beside him was dumbfounded.

"Uncle, Dany..."

Rhaenys Targaryen's eyes widened, looking at Viserys beside her in disbelief.

That was Viserys Targaryen's full sister, born of the same father and mother!

Now, Viserys was actually going to actively abandon her?

"Your Majesty, leave it to me; they will absolutely not escape!"

Ser Willem Darry shouted anxiously.

Allowing the assassin to get in was already a serious dereliction of duty on his part!

Now, Viserys Targaryen was so furious that he was willing to burn even his own sister to death.

What madness was this!

"True dragons are not afraid of fire!"

Viserys said coldly.

Under everyone's gaze, he snatched a torch and threw it directly towards Bronn and Daenerys.

In an instant, flames scorched, and smoke billowed.

The fire in the image hall grew more intense, and even Bronn found the scorching temperature unbearable.

"Damn it, the Targaryen Family are all lunatics!"

Bronn cursed.

He had no intention of sacrificing his life for the mission.

He seized the opportunity, kicked Daenerys into the sea of fire, and then turned and ran.

After all, on the cliff behind the image hall, there was still an escape rope left by Renly Baratheon.

As long as he crossed the sea of fire and got onto a small boat, he still had hope of survival.

"Fire arrows!"

Ser Willem Darry shouted loudly.

The next moment, a volley of arrows was unleashed.

Countless arrows, carrying the wrath of the Targaryen Family, poured down in the direction Bronn was fleeing.

Whoosh!

Under the sea breeze, the fire was aided by the wind, and the wind by the fire; the great hall of Dragonstone instantly shot up flames several meters high!

Looking at the tottering great hall, Ser Willem Darry no longer cared about Daenerys in the sea of fire.

"Go!"

He pulled Viserys up, hugged Rhaenys Targaryen, and turned to run.

Crackling, sparks flew everywhere!

As far as the eye could see, the great hall was ablaze, with flames reaching the sky, easily visible even to the navy fighting offshore.

"Dany—"

Seeing the great hall of Dragonstone about to collapse under the burning fire, Rhaenys Targaryen's eyes reddened, and tears streamed down her face.

Her aunt, Daenerys, who was only three years old, was actually swallowed by the sea of fire like this!

"What are you wailing about?"

Viserys Targaryen patted her head helplessly and said, "True dragons are not afraid of fire! Daenerys isn't that easy to get roasted!"

Compared to the harm caused to Daenerys by the scorching fire, Viserys was more worried about the collapsing timber injuring Dany.

He was not an unburnt.

Facing the towering sea of fire, even as her older brother, he could only flee in a hurry.

Listening to Viserys's words, Rhaenys Targaryen looked up, her eyes watery, gazing at Viserys.

"Uncle Viserys just likes to comfort people!"

Rhaenys pouted, dismissing Viserys's words.

However, the next moment, under everyone's gaze, a baby, bare-bottomed and tear-streaked, cried and whimpered as she walked out of the towering sea of fire!

"Brother... Sister... Waaah... Waaah—"
