Chapter 50 - Chapter 50: Mother's Education

"It is Fujiwara-san."

—Ruri snapped back to reality and answered immediately without a second thought.

Was this some kind of test?

The maid's feelings were quite complex, but she certainly wouldn't volunteer herself at a time like this with lines like "Of course it's me" or "Mom, I love you."

"Indeed, Chika is suitable in every aspect."

Kuse Kaede expressed her agreement without any surprise.

"A clean family background, noble lineage; Fujiwara has been a top-tier family name from ancient times to the present. Moreover, the family tree is lush and extensive, with connections and influence penetrating every aspect of Japanese politics. Although Chika's father hasn't become the Minister for Foreign Affairs yet, it is only a matter of time.

In terms of personal qualifications, Chika is intelligent but lacks scheming malice; she knows the darker sides of society but maintains a kind nature, and her relationship with Ryu-chan is also very good. Furthermore, genetically speaking, the children she and Ryu-chan would have in the future are bound to be very cute."

Ruri nodded slowly. Although she felt a bit strange inside, she had to admit this point.

The power of genes was truly magnificent... The three daughters of the Fujiwara family had all inherited the excellent bloodline from the paternal side: healthy, beautiful, smart—and with explosive bodies!

Chika was already at the level of a mainstream master among high schoolers, and her elder sister proved that the daughters of the Fujiwara family had a promising future ahead!

The maid subconsciously looked down at her own chest. Actually, she wasn't bad either; not to boast, but the shape and size were perfect.

But that kind of physique—plump where it should be, slim where it should be, looking full of vitality at a glance... how on earth does it grow like that?

"If he were to marry Chika, Ryu-chan probably wouldn't object either. Their future life would surely be very happy, wouldn't it?"

"Yes." Ruri quietly took a deep breath and chimed in with a smile, "I look forward to that as well."

"A beautiful future is foreseeable, I don't doubt this in the slightest—if Ryu-chan were a very mediocre person."

"Eh?" Ruri voiced her surprise.

"If only Ryu-chan were an ordinary child, that would be great. In that case, I wouldn't have to think too much. I could just decisively reach out and arrange his life, and I wouldn't have the current worries.

Entering a noble school, studying abroad, a political marriage, gaining experience in the company, choosing to support a certain cousin, and then retiring as an uncle with some influence—if he were slightly more mediocre, this would be his future."

Kuse Kaede rested her chin on her hand, a trace of sorrow in her tone: "But he is just too unexpected~

I once imagined countless times how I would raise my child. Whether boy or girl, smart or not, I was confident in providing a beautiful and fulfilling life.

But this child... is not normal!"

She wasn't showing off; Ruri could hear it. She was truly troubled!

"As parents, we naturally hope our children can surpass us, but early independence inevitably makes parents feel a sense of loss... Ryu-chan having a 'rebellious' life trajectory is a consensus we reached long ago, so some of the original common sense no longer applies.

Fujiwara Chika is impeccable as a marriage partner, but is that the case for Ryu-chan?

"I feel Young Master has his own considerations as well; Master and Madam need not worry too much."

"Heh~"

The straw hat tilted slightly as Kaede sized up Ruri's fair face: "This is a bonus question—what kind of wife do you think Ryu-chan needs?"

Without much thought, Ruri shook her head decisively: "I can't come up with one."

"Don't have reservations. Or rather, from your perspective, who do you think suits him best?"

"Someone who can stand together with Lord Ryu must be gentle, generous, and understanding—"

"Zero points."

Kaede tapped the rim of her cup with a spoon, her expression changing to one of seriousness: "A 'good wife and wise mother' in the conventional sense won't do."

"Then... what should she be like?"

"Asking the proctor directly is a foul, Tsubaki-san."

"Ugh..."

"But since you are on the candidate list and I like you quite a bit, there's no harm in some early education."

Men are a creature both strong and fragile~ They can withstand unimaginable pressure, but can also be unexpectedly knocked down by trivial matters.

Therefore, what they need is not merely love and a sexual partner, but also a 'Mother' who can unconditionally embrace them and always provide support from behind.

They will reveal their strength in front of their wives and lovers, but only to a 'Mother' are they willing to expose their weaknesses and unsightly secrets.

To them, entrusting their secrets to a 'Mother' is like Achilles covering his heel—becoming invincible on the battlefield~

"Mother..."

"Of course, I mean on a psychological level." Kaede said, unsure if self-mocking or complaining, "I never received such treatment."

"So it's like that... So the most perfect wife is actually a fusion of 'Lover' and 'Mother'?"

"If any man shouts 'XX is a woman who could become my mother', then regardless of whether they are husband and wife, brother and sister, or siblings, that man will be unable to leave her for his entire life."

Kaede said meaningfully: "Mom, life mentor, psychiatrist, sexual partner, possession, dominator, best friend, and worst enemy—historically, any woman who achieved this could manipulate her partner even if he were an emperor."

"Lord Ryu is so perfect... I don't think he would need so much psychological support."

"You've already deified him~"

Kaede blinked and turned her gaze to the side. Lucy's figure had already appeared at the street corner, so she ended this heart-to-heart with one sentence.

"Men are not born strong, they have to be strong—a woman who cannot understand this cannot assist her husband in achieving great deeds."

Felt like he was driving himself into schizophrenia!

Ryu had played chess for a whole day. From faint sounds at the start to seeing semi-transparent ripples flash by with every move later on, his progress could be called rapid. But precisely because he was too engrossed, his blood pressure was getting higher and higher.

He simply couldn't understand—why did the [Demon Brain] fantasize an 'opponent smarter than himself'?!

Did it split his brain's computing power in two? This is completely unscientific, okay!

Unable to endure any longer, he threw in the towel and surrendered. The result was the "opponent" vividly mocking him, angering him so much he almost lifted the chessboard to imitate Emperor Jing of Han.

[Truly excellent. I can already clearly see your game... but do not be arrogant. Until you are truly proficient and can send and retract it at will, you absolutely must not use it in battle.]

"I understand, Master Kagetatsu." Ryu accepted the teaching sincerely.

This kind of "illusion" could not only make enemies see hallucinations but also produce weak physical interference. Theoretically, it was a highly practical technique.

But the problem lay in the fact that the stronger the illusion, the more Ryu needed to concentrate, even entering a meditative state—which in battle meant seeking death!

He had to raise his mental power and spiritual cultivation to a new realm before he could apply it freely at critical moments.

"Then I will take my leave for today and visit Master another day."

[Go on, go on... Ha, I truly look forward to your future.]

When he returned, it was already very late. Ryu sat in the car, closing his eyes to rest his mind, but just like staying up late, his mental state was actually somewhat hyperactive.

So he opened his eyes and looked at his right hand. A "Persian scimitar" appeared out of thin air in his hand, instantly giving him a sense of intimacy, as if this scimitar were a part of his body. A mere thought could make it dance like a ghost.

And Ryu had never used this type of strange weapon before!

Whatever the weapon, he could handle it with ease. Even if he had never touched or understood it beforehand, it was as if he had already used it proficiently for decades—

This was [God's Left Hand (Gandálfr)]!

When using a Japanese sword, because Kagetatsu's swordsmanship was too strong, it didn't show. But once he switched to other weapons, Ryu immediately felt the difference.

And it wasn't limited to cold weapons. In fact, he could operate tanks and planes just the same. It was a magical type of skill.

"Sure enough, reality isn't a game... the skill synergy is way too strong." Ryu held the phantom scimitar, feeling the changes in his body, unable to help clicking his tongue in wonder.

In a game, if you cast Waterball first and then Ice Arrow, the control effect wouldn't increase. But reality wasn't like that.

After Ryu chose [God's Left Hand], besides the various abilities in the description, he actually found a clever use:

When [God's Left Hand] makes contact with a weapon, it actually provides a certain numerical bonus to the user, enhancing their physical stamina and agility.

And Ryu didn't need to hold a real object. By directly gripping a weapon fantasized out of thin air, he still had the bonus!

For him, this was simply a permanent BUFF!

—Without another word, he bought this one!
