Roxy was holding her babies to her chest as she simultaneously fed them.
They would pass off for human babies if there weren't dog ears and a small, tiny tail on their tailbone.
They were beautiful.
Just then, the middle triplet, the girl, woke up. She mewled, showing her toothless gums, and rolled over. Her tiny eyes blinked open. They weren't blue like Kaelen's. They were strange, violet.
Roxy, Sera, and Mara stared at the little pup.
"She is so cute…" Mara declared with a soft smile on her face.
Roxy nodded. "Because she is my baby…"
The baby smiled at her, and Roxy pulled her closer and placed a soft kiss on the baby's head.
After she had finished breastfeeding them, they drifted back to sleep, and she lay them quietly inside the crib she had Kaelen build.
"Let's go then…" Roxy breathed as she watched her little babies and could not help but remember baby Drax.
She was going to get him soon.
