I swallowed, my mouth suddenly dry. "Truth?"
The group groaned like I'd just ruined their fun.
"Boring!" someone shouted, and a few people laughed.
Tasha leaned closer, her grin widening. "Okay, Fiona. Who's the last person you fantasized about?"
I blinked, feeling my face heat up instantly. "What? No, I'm not answering that!"
"You have to," Tasha said, laughing. "That's the rule!"
I shook my head, wishing I could disappear. Nathan's face flickered in my mind, but I shoved the thought away. This wasn't the place for that.
"I don't have one," I said finally, my voice barely above a whisper.
The group groaned again, but Tasha just laughed. "Fine, we'll let you off the hook this time. But next round, no more playing it safe."
I nodded quickly, relieved to be off the spotlight—for now.
The game continued, with dares getting wilder and truths getting messier. Someone was dared to kiss the person sitting next to them. Another guy had to shotgun two beers back-to-back.
