Izumi stared at the system's utterly shameless behavior, completely speechless.
"So… you're telling me the miscellaneous junk didn't meet the exchange criteria, so you just compressed it all?"
"Or is it because I threw in too much at once, so you lumped the total value together and split it into several parts?"
The more he looked at it, the more curious he became.
This system really needed to be studied properly.
Still, even though the results were divided into several portions, Izumi didn't really mind.
Everything he had thrown in was collected today.
Which meant one thing was now certain—
Opening a shop in this world, creating weapons, and exchanging them for resources through the system was a perfectly viable route.
Aside from alchemy materials and magic stones, almost everything else could be fed to the system.
As several clusters of light flickered, the system quickly spat out a few items, which immediately slipped into his inventory.
The fact that the system didn't even bother notifying him anymore made Izumi twitch in irritation.
If this damn system actually had intelligence, he would've cursed it out on the spot.
Opening the inventory, Izumi looked at the newly added items, anticipation rising in his chest.
[Core of Reason]
A core that grants the ability to construct anything that the user can "fully understand."
The first item—
A Herrscher Core.
He had obtained one before, but this was the Core of Reason.
If he fused this with his own Creation Authority…
Izumi's eyes lit up.
Images from a certain game flashed through his mind—
Bronya's Heavy Bunny, orbital weapons, massive mechanical constructs.
…He could probably make those too.
Turning inspiration directly into reality.
Its nature was already extremely close to his own authority of creation.
If the two were combined, wouldn't the result be far more than a simple 1 + 1?
Suppressing his excitement, Izumi temporarily set it aside and continued checking the other items.
[Solar Authority: Leo]
Grants the host an inviolable body, immune to cutting and piercing by any weapon.
"…Solar Authority?"
The moment he read that, Izumi's excitement skyrocketed.
Solar Authorities manifested differently depending on the individual.
He already possessed a power similar to Sakamaki Izayoi's Unknown Divinity, and this one was in the same category.
Some Solar Authorities even allowed the summoning of Star Beasts.
That part, however, was troublesome.
Izumi didn't belong to any established pantheon, so summoning a Star Beast directly would be extremely difficult.
If he were part of the Ancient Egyptian pantheon, he might summon something like a sphinx.
If he were Greek, perhaps some lion-related divine beast.
Thinking along those lines, Izumi stroked his chin.
Solar Authorities corresponded to the Twelve Zodiac Constellations and the Twelve Equatorial Constellations.
He was already in the process of constructing his own pantheon—
But anything related to lions…
Aside from the Lion of Gold belonging to a certain clumsy vampire, nothing came to mind.
Then—
Izumi's eyes widened.
"Ah."
Avrora Florestina's Twelve Familiars.
They also corresponded to the Twelve Zodiac Signs.
The Goat of Divine Steel — Aries
The Bull King's Amber — Taurus
The Serpent of Mercury — Gemini
The Crab's Silver Mist — Cancer
The Lion of Gold — Leo
The Maiden's Rainbow Flames — Virgo
The Night Sword of Balance — Libra
The Scorpion Tiger's Purple — Scorpio
The Twin Horns of Deep Crimson — Sagittarius
The Capricorn's Crystal Eyes — Capricorn
The White Steel of Aquarius — Aquarius
The Blue Ice of the Siren — Pisces
…Could he integrate the Solar Authority into Avrora's Twelve Familiars?
Have them act as substitutes for Star Beasts—
As the "Sun" of his own pantheon?
This Solar Authority wasn't unique.
It possessed the same abilities as the one in Little Garden, but it was an independent existence.
Which meant it could be reassigned freely.
Avrora's familiars were weak on their own.
But if fused with a Solar Authority—
They wouldn't just stop being weak.
They'd become monstrous.
With that thought, Izumi made his decision.
He'd pull Avrora out of his subspace world later.
Let her bite him once—
And have her transfer the control rights of her familiars.
Familiars were nurtured inside a vampire's body, sustained by life force.
And life force was one thing Izumi had in absurd abundance.
Which meant—
He could raise familiars himself.
Satisfied, Izumi moved on.
[World Anchor Card]
A card used to locate other worlds.
[Ability Inheritance Card] ×3
Allows a portion of the user's abilities to be copied and passed on to others.
Three Ability Inheritance Cards.
And a World Anchor Card.
Izumi had used one of these before—it was extremely useful.
As long as he possessed something from another world, he could use it to establish a coordinate.
The inheritance cards were just as valuable.
A shortcut to rapid growth.
"…Not bad," Izumi muttered.
"This exchange was definitely worth it."
Without hesitation, he fused the Core of Reason directly into his body.
The moment it merged—
His understanding of his Creation Authority deepened dramatically.
The two powers were inherently similar.
Once fused, the result was far beyond a simple numerical increase.
And then—
Izumi blinked.
"…Wait."
"It feels like… I can create life now?"
Startled, he tested it immediately.
The result—
Left him deeply disappointed.
He could create life.
But only completely powerless chicks.
"…That's it?" Izumi stared blankly at the little yellow chicks and ducklings in front of him.
"Just this?"
"I thought this would be way more broken!"
After viciously roasting his own authority for a while, Izumi casually tossed the chicks and ducklings into his subspace world.
Creating humans—or powerful lifeforms—was clearly still a long way off.
Still, this was a decent start.
Or maybe…
He could return to the DXD world someday and straight-up steal the Sacred Gear Monster Creation, then fuse it into his Creation Authority.
That might open up far more possibilities.
Silently committing that idea to memory, Izumi released both Avrora Florestina and Ophis from his subspace world.
The sudden change in scenery made Avrora flinch.
Ophis, on the other hand, showed zero hesitation—
She immediately crawled into Izumi's arms and sat down comfortably.
"…You again," Izumi muttered, completely done with it.
Avrora, meanwhile, looked around curiously.
"So this is another world?" she asked.
"There are so many divine presences…"
Her brows furrowed in clear displeasure.
Izumi ignored her reaction and spoke directly.
"Avrora."
"Hand over the control rights to your familiars."
Avrora's eyes instantly lit up.
"Oh? Dost thou wish to become my servant—"
Snap.
Before she could finish, Izumi flicked her forehead.
The sharp pain made Avrora yelp as she immediately dropped into a crouch, clutching her head defensively.
"…Ow!?!"
