The following morning, Sage Alistair found himself standing inside a spacious warehouse near the eastern section of the Guild District, watching several workers arrange monster materials across a series of reinforced examination tables.
The warehouse belonged to one of Garen Holtweiss's commercial partners, a merchant company that regularly purchased materials recovered from dungeons throughout Westmark.
Unlike the noisy markets surrounding Guild Headquarters, the building was remarkably orderly. Workers moved between storage rooms carrying wooden crates, while several experienced appraisers examined monster hides, bones, claws, and Mana Crystals beneath carefully positioned lamps.
Garen stood beside Sage, looking particularly pleased with himself.
"Well, Guildmaster, what do you think?" Garen asked, gesturing toward the warehouse. "I thought a practical demonstration would explain things considerably better than another afternoon spent discussing commercial principles."
