Chapter 33 - Breaking It All Down... [System Message Sent!]

"Finally here," Zylus whispered as he began taking out his key card from his pocket.

After that short travel and that brief fight, he finally arrived at his dorm. Zylus now stood right in front of his door, tapping his key card onto the doorknob.

"User Identified!" The doorknob yelled out, "Welcome, Zylus Elwis!"

Click!

The door unlocked as Zylus pushed it open. He took his shoes off as he went to the freezer to take a bottle of water.

"There it is," He said, taking a large gulp.

But then, he realised something was up...

"Jace isn't here this time, wonder where he is." Zylus wondered as he began walking towards the shower. "For now, I should clean myself up."

Once he entered, he turned the handle towards the red sticker, which was labelled as 'Hot.'

"Ahh, that feels better," He said as the heat poured onto his body. "Time for some shampoo, and yep, that's it."

Zylus stepped out of the pouring water from above as he poured the shampoo onto his body, closely washing every bit of it. After doing so, he entered the water once more, completely rinsing his soaked self.

"What was that though?" Zylus put his back against the shower's glass door, and the water still poured onto his abs. "Who could that have been? His aura was overwhelming."

He still pondered on that thought, "The warmth of this water is never gonna make me wanna leave." Zylus whispered.

"The problem is, only someone close to me would know where I was headed, because I never once sensed those three chasing me." He said, "But at the same time, it's possible they used a systemic device." Zylus began to turn off the shower.

As he did so, he took a towel from the metal hanger and started tying it around his body, as he went to the sink and took a toothbrush.

For now, I shouldn't think more about that, because we have a quest coming up soon either way.

The toothbrush continued to sink into his teeth as he turned the tap water off. Afterwards, he put the toothbrush down, washing it and his teeth with it. He did one more swipe around his body and his hair with the white towel before neatly hanging it back onto the bar.

"Fuck!" A thought just crossed his mind, "Oh nevermind, I can just text them." He said.

The problem was that he had been so focused on the quest that he forgot to acknowledge that he must notify them before accepting it. Because when he decides to accept the quest, they'll all be teleported towards a designated location.

So instead of continuing to sulk on that matter, he thought that texting them would be the trick. Since system messages kind of act like phones in this realm, all he needed to do was give them a message and wait for a response.

"It's not like I needa input a number or anything, just their name." Zylus said, as he now sat on the couch looking at his system, "Kind of like an email, without the '@gmail.com thing."

"Ahh, now it's time to wait for a response," Zylus whispered as he put his back towards the backboard of the couch, "But what should I even do now? I have enough stockpiled quests that can last me for weeks, I can't cook, and, wait…" Zylus paused as he began to look at his system.

"Here it is," He whispered, "The forced dungeon quest I have to go on…"

[Quest: Defeat A C-Rank Dungeon]

[Quest Due: Within 6 Days From Now]

[Approximate Time To Complete: 2 Days]

[Accept?]

As soon as Zylus was about to accept, he decided to tab out.

"It's not worth it," Zylus decided, "I have to rest up just in case they agree for tomorrow."

"Oh yeah, forgot Michael doesn't have a system," Zylus remembered, "Ahh, it's fine, he should be ready by five, there's nothing better to do. Plus, if he comes in naked, I'll bring him extra clothes just in case, yeah, he should be fine." Zylus said out loud to himself.

After a while of this continuous back-and-forth chatter, the sun finally began to set, but Jace wasn't there.

He's probably out doing more objectives

Zylus stood up as he stepped toward the fridge, hoping there was something prepared for him.

"Frozen ramen?" He saw a packet inside their freezer, "Didn't know they had that." He said.

He then placed the frozen ramen into a pot he had prepared on the stove, simmering in boiling water, as a sizzle erupted. He took a spatula and began turning it in circles.

Zylus looked, "Oh, already? That's perfect." He said as he opened the tab to check.

[From: Emilia Scorce: Sure]

[From: Zenos Mezino: Yessir!]

[From: Frey Fross: My camera should be ready by then]

"And of course, Michael doesn't have a system. But this should be good." Zylus said as he ripped a seasoning package from inside the wrapper, throwing it into the garbage right after.

"Now, let's try this." Zylus took a fork to taste test the simmered ramen.

Munch.

He was delighted with the taste, but was already used to it, so it didn't change his opinion much.

"These beautiful frozen quick meals never change, Zylus smirked, "But I gotta watch out, can't let this six pack go to waste now, can I," he said as he twisted the round oven heater to 'off.'
