I nodded, unable to trust my voice.

She gave my arm a reassuring pat before moving forward to greet them, leaving me ensnared in my own tumultuous thoughts.
Everything was different now. I could see it in the way Alex touched Elena, effortlessly and intimately. I could sense it in the way Elena leaned into him, free of hesitation. The soft glances they shared when they thought no one else was watching spoke volumes, words unspoken but deeply understood.
But neither of them appeared ready to reveal their transformed relationship, and I wouldn't be the one to pry.
