Chapter 1 - chapter 1: A Crazy World

"Class dismissed!"

The moment the words left the teacher's mouth, a student dove straight out the open window as if escaping a warzone.

"Oi, not again!" the teacher shouted, diving after him.

BONK.

Their heads collided mid-air, and both fell outside like stunned livestock.

Dangerous? Obviously.

Legal? Probably not.

But at this academy, that was just another Tuesday.

"Such a crazy class…" The young man exhaled, brushing his blonde hair back.

He sat in the middle row, lean, athletic, sharp blue eyes, but even with all that, he was just another face here.

On Earth, he might've been popular.

But in this world, power came first, status second, money third.

Looks ranked somewhere around… ninetieth.

He shut his notebook, fully aware he would never open it again.

"Of all places… why did I have to end up here?" he muttered, face reddening. "And in this body!"

He buried his face in his hands.

"Me, an ex-professional handsome author who won a global competition… trapped inside my own masterpiece? My own Eroge Academy novel!?"

He paused.

"…Why does that sound exactly like a Japanese manga title?"

He shook the thought away.

This world wasn't even supposed to be normal.

The protagonist, Zyra, wasn't even a real teenager, he was an old man who transmigrated into the hero's body.

"And thanks to his dumb system, he stole girlfriends, wives, queens, and… even nuns," Val muttered.

"And I, the author, get thrown into the NPC body named Val."

The NPC whose childhood friend becomes Zyra's first corruption target.

Val's jaw clenched. He stood up and stormed out of the classroom, boots echoing through the hall.

---

He reached the cafeteria and immediately spotted her

Nara.

His childhood friend.

His first character.

The girl he poured everything into when he wrote this story.

Growing up in the slums, they'd faced bandits, slave traders, and nobles who treated commoners like toys.

They only survived because they had each other.

He remembered cold nights where they hugged just to stay warm.

The promises.

The smiles.

The way she trusted him completely.

And in the original story?

She was stolen from Val because Zyra's system altered her mind, making her forget him.

His stomach twisted.

As his hands trembled, a blue window flashed into his vision.

Ding!

The Lustful Extra System has activated!

Val blinked, stunned. His heartbeat thundered in his ears.

"…Finally. Help," he whispered, shoulders easing ever so slightly.

Then his gaze flicked to Zyra, sitting at a table surrounded by giggling girls.

Val's expression hardened.

The only reason Zyra got close to Nara originally was because he aced the field exam.

That let him sit beside her in class, and from there, the corruption began.

"And I'm not letting that happen."

Val's voice shook with anger.

Zyra's popularity wasn't just charisma.

He had the hero's bloodline, meaning power, high growth, and children who would inherit monstrous talent.

A perfect trophy for ambitious nobles.

No wonder every influential family wanted their daughter engaged to him.

Val tore his eyes away and finished his food in silence.

"Alright… focus on the field exam," he murmured.

Then he stood and walked to his room.

---

Nara watched him leave, confusion clouding her gentle eyes.

"He looks troubled… why?" she whispered.

She failed to notice Zyra's predatory stare fixed on her.

---

Val slipped into his dorm room and locked the door.

Students weren't allowed outside after 8 p.m.

but tonight, he had no choice.

He lit a candle, letting its warm glow steady his thoughts, and began laying out his plan.

"The field test has three parts," he muttered.

First: Mana Sensitivity, identify the real mana core from the fake ones.

Zyra only passed this because he found the bracelet in the magic tower.

Second: Mana Application, raw output.

Zyra dominated this thanks to his hero bloodline.

Third: Mana Defense, the only trial he failed miserably.

But his high scores in the first two saved him…

letting him sit next to Nara.

Val's eyes sharpened.

"The only move I have is stealing the bracelet before him."

The archmage's tower.

Supposedly haunted.

Students avoided it.

Except Zyra,.who received a system quest sending him there.

"But if the bracelet is gone… Zyra never gets the quest. No quest means no power-up. And no power-up means he fails the test."

Val stood abruptly, breath shaky with adrenaline.

This was it,.the one chance to rewrite fate.

To prove even the protagonist could be brought low.

The candle flickered across his determined face.

He grabbed his coat and stepped into the night.

Only one thought blazed in his mind:

Get the bracelet before Zyra.

But a shadow lingered beneath that determination.

Even with his meta-knowledge…

Would the world still follow the script?

Or had things already begun to change?
