``Why are we in the middle of the desert again? Weren't we supposed to be grinding?´´ said Hayate. Lucius was really tired of having to answer him.
``Because we are abusing the system grace period for newbies´´ said Lucius for the 5th time today.
``You keep saying that and don't elaborate further, what's it about?´´ said Hayate. Lucius was having many problems with the newbie. He does not understand why this guy can't act on incomplete information. It reminds him of newbies in games asking VERY easy questions like they are a life or death moment.
``The system makes a lot of accommodations for newbies, one of which is the grace period, where the system reduces the danger of beings around the newbie to a minimum, so they can grow to the minimum grade of the world. So yeah, for the first month or until we reach level 25, we are going to only fight weak monsters, those monsters will get stronger once we reach level 10. understood?´´ Lucius really didn't like having to explain everything, but he'd be dammed if he didn't like taking advantage of the system, and the newbie mode hasn't been patched correctly.
``So, we're going to level up to level 25? And then what?.´´ said Hayate, and Lucius was feeling a need to smack him. The same feeling you get when your brother is being annoying. Lucius is feeling it right now.
``Don't ask questions, we are getting to it once we're there. For now, we search for lizards or scorpions or something that has levels´´ said Lucius while looking around using [Observe] on everything in his sight until he found what he was searching for.
[Silver Scorpion-Lvl 5]
A big scorpion with a silver-colored carapace, a few meters away from them, hadn't seen them yet. Lucius listened to his intrusive thoughts and smacked Hayate's head.
``WHAT WAS THAT FOR?´´ said Hayate as Lucius wanted to hit him once again, because why not. He was a chaotic grembling, and he would never stop being one.
``No reason. Look, think about using your skills and it will kind of give you a data dump like a autistic person talking about their hyperfixiation but it will only give you the basics of it and not the whole history and random trivia facts.´´ while telling hayate that lucius did what he just said and the flood of information came to him, the stance, the way to hold it, basic slashes, how to block and parry. Then footwork, how to move, when to move, etc., did he choose to be a warrior when all his experience was about magic? Yes, he did, he was smart enough to know not to do so but dumb enough to do it anyway. And he was going to become the fastest swordman alive.
Looking down at the fallen Hayate, Lucius couldn't stop his smirk from showing, it always happened to the newbies when a lot of information overwhelmed their brains. Lucius knew an inferior skill was pretty much bottom of the barrel on information, but still, it was extensive, even if it was just the basics.
Pulling out the sword the system gave him, it was a simple short-sword, double-edged and made of simple steel, perfect but basic. It would do for now, he'd either make one for himself or just buy one if he finds a good enough sword. And the armor was basic leather, but would resist for long enough to get out of G grade.
``We're gonna kill that thing´´ said Lucius, pointing at the scorpion nearby. ``We are going to kill every single one we see until level 10. When you reach level 10, you evolve no questions asked, okay?´´
``h-huh? Oh, okay?´´ said Hayatee, finally standing up from the floor. At this point, Lucius was really thinking that the floor might love Hayate. ``Get your sword out of your inventory, and we're going to kill scorpions until we become 'normal humans' and your armor.´´
Opening his status, Lucius started to distribute his 50 free attribute points. He was going to become stronger than a level 5.

He was now fast, strong, and tanky. Could he have made it more balanced? Yes, but unga bunga intrusive thoughts won. And he could balance it later anyways.
``You ready?´´ said Lucius while walking to the scorpion and swinging down on the scorpion's head. The crunch of the carapace was a good indicator, but the lack of notification told Lucius everything he needed to know, so he jumped back, dodging the scorpion's sting and swung again, craking the stinger.
``You going to keep watching?´´ he said while moving backwards out of the scorpion's range. It would be dead the next moment, but they needed more than just one, a whole lot more for level 10. So Lucius did the only reasonable thing and stabbed the scorpion a lot more.

``So let's get going and find more to level up.´´ said Lucius while walking away from the carcass of the scorpion. It was kinda useless to him as he didn't have any interest in poisons.

Hayate Takeda
They have been killing scorpions and Giant lizards all day. He finally found out why Lucius told him to buy food and water for a long day. he found using a sword really easy thanks to his years of kendo practice. But that was a thought for another moment as he now had to finish his fight with this dammed lizard that kept imitating him.

``Hayate, wait until I'm back or go hunt more lizards, but don't get far from here´´ said Lucius before disappearing from his sight. Where did that guy go? he was there a moment ago, and he shouldn't have any way to just teleport. But, well, he now had to reach level 10, yes, they had been killing random scorpions and lizards all day.
``That guy sure is weird. He just disappeared.´´ Hayate was really becoming desensitized to Lucius's antics. Looking around, he saw another lizard, so using [Dash], a skill that he got at level 5 on the skill selection, Luicus told him that every 5 levels he was going to get a skill selection and would be able to choose one from various and that those skills would depend on the class and what he did.
``Come here, you annoying lizard.´´ It was easy, just slide, swing, block the tail, and go for the throat. He had killed around 15 lizards and countless scorpions, yes, he kinda forgot to count the scorpion, but can you blame him? he was more focused on not getting stung. Anyway, it finally came to the last level.

Well, wasn't that something? Hayate decided that why not evolve his class before evolving his race, but a quick no from the system told him everything he needed to know. So he evolved his race.
Everything went black, he didn't like this, he didn't have a mini panic attack and think he was being reset to the start, nope, he sure ddidn't but now that he was more or less calm he looked arround and it was a beutiful collage of random colors swirling through the vast emptiness of this void, it was like seeing the aurora vorealis. And he did feel kinda comfortable and a bit tired, he wasn't going to sleep, though, it was too beautiful a sight to miss. Ok, maybe he could rest his eyes for a bit, just a tiny bit.
``Rise and shine, it's like really late and we need to go back.´´ Waking up to Lucius and the night sky wasn't on Hayate's bingo card, nor was Lucius looking even more confusing than before.
