Chapter 53 - A Stroll Through the Apocalypse

"What if I told you that even the President and Vice President are probably overwhelmed?"

"That's impossible..." Betty absolutely refused to believe that even the President and Vice President of the United States had lost control of the situation.

"Okay, whatever you say!" Raj said, walking towards the edge of the building's rooftop.

"Hey, what are you doing? Are you crazy?" Betty thought Raj had been driven mad and was going to jump. She rushed over and hugged his waist. He was the only living person she had encountered. If she were left alone, she didn't even know if she could wait for rescue before being driven insane.

"Of course, I'm going to the supermarket to find food!" Raj said, his steps not faltering as he continued towards the edge of the roof.

"No, it's over a hundred meters to the ground from there! Are you crazy?" Betty desperately hugged Raj's waist, trying to pull him back, but with her small physique, she couldn't even make him stumble, let alone pull him back.

Finally, Raj reached the edge of the building. Betty resigned herself, wanting to let go of Raj's waist, but at this moment, she discovered in horror that her hand was being held tightly by Raj. "Oh my god... what are you doing?"

Before she could finish speaking, Betty felt herself jumping down with Raj. The rapid sense of falling made her scream involuntarily. "Ah————!!!"

Raj turned around and used his mouth to block her scream, thinking in his heart, I'm doing this to avoid attracting more zombies... but in reality, it was to take advantage.

Of course, Betty didn't know that.

But to have her first kiss stolen by a handsome guy who didn't seem unpleasant, and was even very handsome, before she died seemed like a good choice... So, Betty, giving up all hope, went crazy and used the techniques she had seen on TV, extending her tongue and desperately catering to Raj's onslaught...

She didn't know how long it had passed, but Betty felt that the air in her lungs was not enough. Why hadn't she felt the expected intense pain? Realizing that something was wrong, Betty opened her eyes and found that Raj had already landed, and she was still suspended in mid-air, embracing Raj.

"Ugh..." Betty struggled with all her might to finally break free from Raj's mouth and couldn't help but ask, "Why didn't you fall to your death?"

"Ahem... Maybe we're already dead and don't realize it?" Raj floated up shamelessly and then said, "Look, we have no weight anymore!"

"...Oh my god!" Betty looked at herself floating in mid-air and couldn't help but wonder if she was really dead.

Just then, several zombies heard the two of them talking and staggered over.

Betty shouted in horror, "How come there are zombies in heaven? Have they already occupied all the spaces?"

"Tch, these damn zombies, they're ruining my act!"

No matter how naive Betty was, she knew at this time that Raj was playing tricks and couldn't help but hammer Raj's chest a few times: "Damn it, you guy, I was so worried about you just now!"

"I told you I came to find food!" Raj rolled his eyes, grabbed Betty's hand and said, "Let's go, we should go find food!"

"How did you jump down just now!?" Betty asked, being led by Raj, "How did you make me float in mid-air again?"

"You can think of it as a superpower!" Raj was too lazy to explain so much.

"Cool, can I learn it?" Betty asked persistently.

"I'm afraid not, this thing is innate!" Raj made up a lie as soon as he opened his mouth.

"That's a pity!"

"Okay, don't be discouraged!" Raj said and asked, "Do you know where the biggest supermarket nearby is?"

"Turn left from here, go through a block and you'll be there!" Betty said.

"Then let's go!" Raj grabbed Betty's hand and walked in the direction she pointed. Betty obediently walked with Raj, holding hands.

Along the way, Betty was truly an eye-opener. When there were few zombies, Raj led her calmly through the gaps. When there were many zombies, Raj raised and clenched his hand. The zombies instantly exploded into powder, as if they had been hit in the head by countless large-caliber bursting bullets.

This leisurely stroll through the zombie-filled city streets gave Betty a feeling of excitement, exciting but not at all afraid, because she knew that with Raj by her side, the zombies couldn't hurt her.

Actually, Raj had been considering a question along the way. According to the plot, Betty would not die. At least, she shouldn't die in Detroit. She should be rescued by Carlos and join Carlos' team. But based on the current results, if Raj wasn't on the rooftop, Betty would probably die...

Since Betty's fate has been changed, does that mean Carlos is dead? When he was at Raccoon City Junior High School, he didn't seem to see Carlos, who should have been there... And the Nemesis he killed at the entrance of Junior High School seemed to shout the name Yuri before he died.

And Yuri is a member of Carlos' team. Twelve Nemesis... A full special tactics team is also twelve... Raj felt that he had guessed the truth... He was afraid that the twelve Nemesis he killed were the fully staffed Carlos team. Oh, he accidentally gave the protagonist of Resident Evil 3 a lunch box. I'm really sorry!

While Raj was thinking, the two had arrived at the largest supermarket nearby, a Walmart chain supermarket. Raj said that he really made a big business for the Walmart in the movie world, and he crossed the plane...

At this time, the supermarket was in a mess, and the ground was full of blood... Fortunately, there were not many zombies inside...

Raj swaggered in with Betty, and Raj did not forget to push a shopping cart along the way...

But after a lap, Raj was very disappointed. After picking and choosing, Raj finally found some vegetables that looked relatively fresh. As for raw meat, they were all ruined by the zombies... This is really a sad discovery.

"Raj, what are you looking for?" Betty looked at Raj picking and choosing there. He didn't want many vacuum-packed canned and cooked meat products, but only got some vegetables.

"I just want to eat hot pot, why is it so difficult!" Raj looked like he was about to cry without tears.

"Oh my god, you really don't have high requirements!" Betty rolled her eyes. She knew what hot pot was after all. After all, she occasionally liked to watch the food programs on the International Channel.

"Okay, there are finally a few bottles of Drinks to relieve my greed!" Raj shrugged his shoulders, indicating that his requirements were indeed not high.

Just as the two casually got some things and filled the cart and planned to walk out of the supermarket, suddenly there was a roar of motorcycles outside, and then two figures rushed in.

"Kay, I'll watch the gate here, you go in and collect food quickly, remember, get more canned food and other food that is easy to preserve!" A female voice said.

"Okay!" Then another girl's voice sounded, which sounded young.

"It seems we have companions!" Raj smiled and looked at Betty.

"Do you want to say hello?" Betty tugged Raj's hand, but she was still a little worried. People in the last days are actually more terrible than monsters.

"Let's go, let's say hello!" Raj said, pushing the shopping cart towards the door.

Before reaching the door, Raj saw a blonde girl wearing super shorts, with a super good figure and a beautiful face, desperately stuffing canned food and biscuits into a backpack.

Seemingly frightened by the sound of Raj's shopping cart, the girl turned around and took out a pistol and aimed it at Raj and Betty.

"Hi, we have no malice, we are also survivors!" Betty hurriedly explained. "My name is Betty, his name is Raj. How about everyone together?"

"...Okay, my name is K. Mart, you can call me K or Kay!" Mart said, putting the pistol back in her waist.

"Do you need our help?" Raj asked.

"No need, it's basically almost done!" Mart said, putting a few more bottles of water into the backpack, and then came to the checkout place of the supermarket, picked up a few packs of cigarettes and stuffed them in.

"Oh, my god, I almost forgot this!" Betty seemed to be reminded by Mart's actions, and also took a few packs of cigarettes from there and threw them into Raj's shopping cart.

Raj wanted to remind her not to buy it. There are at least a dozen boxes in his hand ring, all stuffed in by Jill, but think about it, let her take it if she wants to.

"It feels so good to enter the supermarket for the first time without swiping your card and take it as you like!" Betty's desire to shop was greatly satisfied.

"Okay, I hope you will have such thoughts in the future!" Raj was speechless for a while.

"Kay, are you ready?" The girl's voice came from outside again, it was the girl who was on guard outside just now.

"Claire, I'm ready, but I think we have new companions!" Mart replied in a low voice.
