Chapter 35 - Chapter 34 Thirty-Four: Arrest

Alarms blared throughout the lucrehulk-class freighter as rows of B1 Battle Droids were deployed.

Their blank faces slowly lifted, some even getting shot down by blaster bolts before they could fully activate.

The electronically synthesized voice of a B1 Battle Droid announced, "Intruder, open fire!"

"Received, received," other nearby B1 Battle Droids responded, picking up their E-5 blaster rifles and advancing slowly, firing as they moved.

But Kote, riding the Rancor Havoc, charged directly into the Ranks of the B1 Battle Droids.

"Ah, monster!"

"Help!"

"Fire, fire!"

"Run!"

Facing the rampaging Havoc, the B1 Battle Droids were completely helpless; the other Mandalorians didn't even need to shoot.

Everyone pulled out EMP grenades and tossed them into the droid army, and the entire space instantly fell silent.

"These guys really have no combat power.

They might make good household robots," Ray said to the B1 Battle Droids lying on the ground, kicking a couple of them for good measure.

But soon, more B1 Battle Droids appeared from around the corner.

Havoc swatted away a large group, but the B1 Battle Droids were endless; these things were simply too cheap, with at least a thousand of them.

"These droids are enough to wear you Mandalorians down, hahahaha!" the Neimoidian watched the surveillance feed and burst out laughing.

But soon, everyone's jaws dropped because all the B1 Battle Droids sent to kill them had been eliminated, and not a single person had even been seriously injured.

Seeing only eighty Mandalorians and one Rancor completely break through the formation of over a thousand B1 Battle Droids, they knew they were finished; they had encountered a tough opponent this time.

"There are many, but they're useless," Kote, riding Havoc, pushed aside the deactivated B1 Battle Droids on the ground and continued forward, led by his adjutant.

They finally reached the bridge door.

The adjutant prepared to open the hatch, but an eye appeared from the doorway, scanned the adjutant for a long time, and then quickly retracted.

The adjutant had no choice but to get closer and input the password, but it wouldn't open.

"It seems they changed the password; I can't open it," the adjutant said, waving his hand.

"Should we blast it open, boss?" Honkar asked, pulling a detonator from his belt.

"Leave it to Havoc," Kote dismounted from Havoc, patted his head, and let Havoc tear open the door.

Inside the hatch, Havoc's massive claws were already visible in the middle of the triple-layered door, as if the giant beast would burst in from outside at any second.

"Captain, the Rancor is tearing open our hatch!" The Trade Federation Defense Forces, who were aiming at the hatch, were terrified as they watched the Rancor's claws ripping through the door.

The Neimoidian Captain Dooku was also scared; he never imagined he would fail, nor did he expect the B1 Battle Droids to fail to kill even one of the opponents.

Red blaster bolts erupted from blaster rifles, firing at the giant beast whose claws were already inside.

"Fire quickly! Don't let this guy in!" The defense forces inside were on the verge of panic; it was too terrifying.

Until a clear tearing sound echoed, that was their last line of defense, the hatch.

At this moment, the people inside knew their death was at hand.

To create a terrifying atmosphere, Kote even threw a smoke grenade and pulled out his dark saber.

One man and one beast stood at the doorway, scaring the defense forces inside to the point of urinating themselves.

"Jedi!"

"They're definitely Mandalorians disguised as Judicial Forces!"

"I surrender! I'll tell you everything! It was all the Captain's orders!"

"Run, the Jedi are killing people!"

Seeing the dark saber revealed, everyone inside immediately prepared to surrender, as surrender offered a chance to live, while not surrendering meant certain death.

Kote walked out of the smoke, calming Havoc and telling him to be patient.

The defense forces, seeing that they were not being attacked, realized they still had a choice.

Until a clever fellow stepped directly in front of Neimoidian Captain Dooku, saying, "Sorry, Captain, we want to live."

With that, two people came up and directly restrained the Neimoidian, handcuffing him.

"You're rebelling! Are you out of your minds?! Think of your families on your homeworld! Do you want them all to lose their jobs?!" The Neimoidian struggled, but he had no training and was no match for these soldiers.

Thus, the Neimoidian was brought before Kote.

"By the way, I've been on board for so long and haven't asked for the Captain's name yet."

"I am Dooku, Captain of this lucrehulk-class freighter, sir, and what is your name?" The pot-bellied Dooku asked ingratiatingly.

"Kote Vizsla, Governor Vadiel, and the highest-ranking officer of the Mandalorian police—the chief of police.

Just call me Governor Kote," Kote said, looking at the fawning sycophant Dooku.

"According to Republic law and Mandalorian Government law, slave trading is strictly prohibited, and you are also suspected of attacking public officials.

Therefore, you are under arrest."

Omen led a small team to directly detain Dooku and take him to the hangar to be sent to Vadiel ahead of them.

"This freighter is now temporarily impounded by the Mandalorian Government for violating Republic law and Mandalorian law.

Do you have any objections?" Kote asked the highest-ranking adjutant present.

"Everything will be according to Governor Kote's arrangements," the adjutant quickly bowed his head in agreement, then ordered people to pilot the massive lucrehulk-class freighter to Vadiel.

The surrounding escort ships, unaware of what had happened, hastily sent communications to inquire.

"Well... it's a long story," the adjutant was very embarrassed.

After all, before this, the Trade Federation had always operated with impunity in Outer Rim space and had never suffered such a setback.

This time, even the Captain was arrested, and the incident of killing Republic Judicial Forces was even mentioned.

This was truly going to be the end.

The lucrehulk-class LH-3210 freighter and its escort ships docked on the surface of Vadiel, but because it was so large, over three thousand meters, it could only be parked in an undeveloped area.

Ground forces, who had been notified earlier, arrived at the docking area and were on full alert.

Meanwhile, a pile of SCVs operated by the adjutant were constructing temporary living quarters for these people, as the police station on Vadiel had not yet been built, and even if it were, it wouldn't have enough space to hold all these people.

From the hangar of the massive freighter, three kuat-class fighters flew out and landed on the ground.

Kote led his people out of one of them, and the freighter also lowered its landing ramp.

Some of the remaining Mandalorian soldiers escorted the others off the ship, all to be confined in the temporary prison, but the prison was not yet complete, and even modular construction would take some time.

But in an already completed room, Kote sat before Captain Dooku, enumerating his crimes.

"Hmm, attacking Republic Judicial Forces, attacking Mandalorian Government officials, engaging in slave trade, and unauthorized entry into the Mandalorian System.

You should know that all these crimes are punishable by death.

However, I am not without compassion.

Given that this is the first time you've been caught, I need to send a message to the Republic to inquire with the Council whether the Trade Federation and you need to be tried."

Kote said expressionlessly to Dooku, who was already ashen-faced before him.

"No! Governor Kote, I can offer you anything you want.

I can even give you a planet, as long as you don't send a message to the Republic, otherwise Council Member Gonrey will surely send people to kill me!" Dooku knelt on the ground, weeping bitterly.
