Sanemi presses a soft kiss to Giyuu's forehead, his expression softening despite his earlier grumbling. "Yeah, yeah. Just go to sleep, you little menace." He tightens his hold on both Giyuu and Mochi, letting out a content sigh as the warmth lulls him toward sleep. Mochi, now thoroughly comfortable, curls up into a perfect circle on their chests, completing their cozy arrangement. Sanemi yelps as Mochi suddenly nips at his hand, jerking his arm away from the cat.
"Ow! What was that for? You little-"
He tries to scold Mochi but stops when he sees her looking up at him with innocent eyes. "She's definitely Giyuu's cat. Troublemaker just like him." Giyuu chuckles sleepily, not even bothering to open his eyes. "Don't blame her. You probably moved too much." Sanemi glares at Mochi, who seems entirely unbothered by his displeasure. "I wasn't moving that much. She just has a vendetta against my hand." He examines the small bite mark, finding it barely noticeable but still feeling indignant.
"Maybe I should return her to where she came from. Or worse - make her sleep in the hallway." Mochi responds by stretching luxuriously across both of them, clearly claiming her territory again. "You wouldn't dare," Giyuu mumbles, half-asleep but still managing to sound protective of the cat. Sanemi sighs and gives up, knowing he's outnumbered by both Giyuu and Mochi.
"Fine. But tomorrow I'm buying her a cat collar with a bell on it. So I can hear her sneak attacks coming."
He shifts slightly, trying to find a comfortable position without disturbing either of them. "And maybe some anti-cat repellent." Mochi purrs louder, as if mocking his threats, and snuggles deeper into the blanket. Sanemi feels a small wet spot forming on his shirt where Giyuu's head is resting. "Oh great. He's drooling on me too. This night just keeps getting better." He looks down at the sleeping Giyuu with a mix of annoyance and fondness.
"I swear, if he gets my pillow wet..."
Mochi watches the drool situation with what appears to be amusement, her tail flicking back and forth. The room grows quieter as everyone settles into a deeper sleep, the only sounds being Mochi's occasional purring and Giyuu's gentle breathing.
Sanemi's protective hold on both of them remains steady throughout the night, despite his earlier complaints. Morning light begins to filter through the window, casting a soft glow over their peaceful cuddle pile. Sanemi stirs first, blinking against the morning light and finding himself completely tangled up with Giyuu and Mochi.
"Ugh... what time is it?" He attempts to reach for his phone without disturbing the others, but Mochi immediately protests by digging her claws into his arm. "Ow! Seriously? You're attacking me while I'm asleep now?" Giyuu stirs at Sanemi's exclamation, his eyes fluttering open with a sleepy smile. "Good morning to you too, sunshine." Sanemi shoots Giyuu a glare while carefully extracting his arm from Mochi's claws.
"Don't 'sunshine' me. I'm covered in cat drool and you're still in my bed." He sits up slowly, rubbing the sleep from his eyes and noticing how peaceful Giyuu looks. "This never happened. Got it?" Mochi stretches dramatically, as if preparing to start her morning routine of causing trouble. Giyuu props himself up on one elbow, his hair messy and eyes still half-closed.
"Whatever you say, Sanemi. But you seemed pretty comfortable last night." He smirks playfully, remembering how Sanemi had been the one to initiate the cuddling. "And I have photographic evidence." He reaches for his phone on the nightstand, teasingly waving it in Sanemi's direction. Sanemi lunges forward to grab the phone, but Giyuu is quicker and rolls away, taking Mochi with him.
"Delete it right now, or I swear I'll-" Mochi meows indignantly at being jostled, while Giyuu laughs and holds the phone out of reach. "You'll what? Make me breakfast? Because that's exactly what I want." Sanemi growls in frustration, knowing he's been outsmarted by both Giyuu and the cat. Sanemi stomps into the bathroom, slamming the door behind him with unnecessary force. "I'm going to take the longest shower ever. And when I come out, that picture better be gone!"
The sound of running water soon fills the apartment, along with Sanemi's muffled cursing about 'stupid cats and their stupid owners.' Mochi trots to the bathroom door and scratches at it, meowing loudly as if she knows exactly what's happening. Giyuu chuckles and gets out of bed, heading to the kitchen with Mochi following close behind. "Don't worry, Mochi. He'll be out eventually. Want some breakfast?"
He starts preparing food for both himself and the cat, humming softly while listening to Sanemi's dramatic shower performance. The smell of cooking food starts wafting through the apartment, making Mochi even more impatient. Sanemi emerges from the shower looking refreshed but still grumpy, wearing only a towel around his waist.
"What's that smell? Are you trying to burn down the apartment?"
He glares at Giyuu in the kitchen, then notices Mochi circling his feet expectantly. "And why does she keep looking at me like that? I'm not her personal food dispenser." Mochi meows loudly and rubs against his leg, clearly demanding attention and breakfast. Giyuu turns around with a spatula in hand, trying to suppress a laugh at Sanemi's half-naked state.
"I'm making pancakes. And Mochi knows who feeds her best." He flips a pancake expertly, then points to the table. "Your plate is already set. Though you might want to put some clothes on first." Mochi meows again, more insistently this time, and starts batting at Sanemi's towel with her paw. Sanemi quickly grabs his towel as it starts to slip.
"Hey! Watch it, you little-" He glances at the table and sees his plate is indeed set, with a cat-shaped pancake on top. "Did you seriously make a cat pancake just to mess with me?" He stalks over to the table, trying to maintain his dignity while holding his towel securely. Mochi jumps onto the table and immediately starts eyeing the pancake, her tail swishing back and forth.
Giyuu leans over and plants a quick kiss on Sanemi's cheek, grinning mischievously. "Just wanted to remind you how much I care about you, even when you're being grumpy." Sanemi freezes, his face turning a light shade of pink as he processes the unexpected kiss. "I- what- that's not-" He stumbles over his words, completely thrown off by Giyuu's bold move while Mochi watches with what appears to be amusement.
