Chapter 47 - Cat cuddles

"Now behave until we get to the cafe." Sanemi held up his hands in mock surrender, though his eyes still sparkled with mischief.

"Alright, alright. I'll be good... for now."

The elevator finally reached the lobby, and he gestured dramatically toward the exit. "After you, my impatient cat-loving boyfriend." Giyuu rolled his eyes but couldn't resist taking Sanemi's hand as they walked out. "You're impossible. But at least you're cute when you try to behave." The morning sun hit their faces as they stepped onto the sidewalk.

"Lead the way to this cat cafe, you cat-sweater-wearing menace." Giyuu chuckled a bit. "I love dogs more than cats." Sanemi gasped dramatically, clutching his chest as if wounded.

"You wound me! Betraying your cat allegiance like this!" He squeezed Giyuu's hand playfully.

"But fine, I guess we can add dog pictures to our album collection. Just don't expect me to wear matching dog sweaters." Giyuu is now holding back his laugh as he looked into his boyfriend's eyes. "You are the dog, Sanemi." Sanemi's eyes widened in mock offense, though he couldn't hide his amusement. "Excuse me? I am NOT a dog! I'm clearly a cat!" He pretended to pout, sticking his lower lip out dramatically.

"Though I do admit, I am very good at following you around and demanding attention." "You are definitely a chihuahua." Sanemi stopped walking, looking absolutely scandalized.

"A CHIHUAHUA?! I'm at least a German Shepherd! Maybe even a wolf!" He crossed his arms indignantly, though there was a playful twinkle in his eyes. "Take it back right now, or I'll start barking at your feet." Giyuu couldn't help but laugh at Sanemi's dramatic reaction, enjoying teasing him.

"No way! A chihuahua suits you perfectly - small, loud, and loves to bite." He dodged Sanemi's playful swat.

"Plus, you have that tiny angry face when you're hungry." Sanemi's face turned red with mock outrage, though he was clearly trying not to laugh. "I do not have an angry face! And I'm definitely not tiny!" He tried to grab Giyuu's arm, but Giyuu kept dancing away. "You're lucky I love you, or I'd prove right now that I'm more like a wolf than a chihuahua." As they entered the cat cafe, Sanemi immediately spotted several cats lounging around. "Finally! The real reason for our date." He dragged Giyuu toward a particularly fluffy calico cat perched on a windowsill.

"Look at this one! She's definitely judging us." Giyuu chuckled as he watched Sanemi crouch down to make silly faces at the cat. "You're such a cat whisperer yourself, you know. Always talking to them like they can understand you." He pulled out his phone to capture the moment. "This is definitely going in the embarrassing photo album." Sanemi noticed Giyuu taking pictures and struck a dramatic pose with the calico.

"Perfect! I'm modeling now. Make sure to get my good side." The cat seemed unimpressed by his antics and simply stretched lazily.

"See? Even the cats appreciate my photogenic nature." Giyuu shook his head, still taking photos. "Yes, very photogenic. Especially with that tongue sticking out." A gray cat approached them curiously, rubbing against Giyuu's leg. "Looks like someone's more interested in me than your modeling career." Sanemi watched as the gray cat stole Giyuu's attention, his expression turning slightly jealous. "Hey! That's my boyfriend you're flirting with, furball." He gently nudged the cat aside and wrapped an arm around Giyuu's waist. "I thought we were here for me to get cute pictures of you, not you getting cute with cats."

Giyuu laughed at Sanemi's possessiveness, leaning into his embrace while still petting the gray cat. "Don't worry, I'm just giving you competition. Maybe you should learn from them how to be more affectionate." The cat purred loudly in response, clearly enjoying the attention. "See? Even cats know how to share their love." Sanemi narrowed his eyes at the cat, pretending to be offended.

"I can be plenty affectionate! Just watch."

He pulled Giyuu closer and pressed a quick kiss to his cheek. "There! Much more effective than that cat's purring." The gray cat, now feeling ignored, decided to move on to another customer.

"Ha! See? Even the cat knows who's boss." Sanemi smirked triumphantly, though his eyes kept darting around the cafe. "Speaking of being bossy, I think I spotted some really cute coffee mugs over there. Want to check them out?" Giyuu followed Sanemi's gaze to a display of colorful cat-themed coffee mugs.

"Of course you'd be drawn to the merchandise section. Are you planning to buy out the whole cafe?" He spotted a particularly adorable blue one with cat ears. "Though that one is kind of cute..." Sanemi's eyes lit up at Giyuu's interest in the blue mug.

"That one's perfect! We should get matching ones - mine can be the grumpy cat, and yours can be the happy one." He reached for the mugs, already pulling out his wallet. "And don't worry about the price. I'm using my 'boyfriend discount' today." Giyuu rolled his eyes but couldn't hide his smile as Sanemi eagerly grabbed the mugs.

"You're such a dork, but fine. I'll take the happy one." He watched as Sanemi carefully examined the mugs, checking for imperfections. "Just make sure they're not too fragile. You know how you get with your coffee in the morning."

Sanemi gasped dramatically, clutching the mugs to his chest. "I am perfectly gentle with my coffee! I'm just... enthusiastic about caffeine." He handed the blue mug to Giyuu with exaggerated care. "See? I can be delicate. I just save that for special occasions... like buying cat mugs for my special someone."

Giyuu accepted the mug, running his fingers over the cat ears with a fond smile. "Sure, sure. Whatever helps you sleep at night, coffee enthusiast." He glanced around the cafe, noticing several cats playing with toys.

"Speaking of special occasions, how about we get some treats for the cats? Maybe that'll keep them from stealing your thunder."
