Asha woke up with her face flat against the smoking ruins of a building, her hair on fire—again—and an angel screaming her name like she'd personally ruined his day. Which, to be fair, she probably had.
"Don't move!" Kael shouted from somewhere above her.
"I'm literally dead," she groaned. "What else can go wrong?"
The universe, apparently eager to answer, dropped a two-meter demon on top of her.
