Seiko dashed forward, his sword blazing with light. The moment he swung toward Kant, the force tearing through the air shook the entire arena. He was certain—Kant wouldn't escape this attack unscathed.
When their swords collided—
The ground cracked beneath them, dust and mana fragments burst upward, and a blinding light swallowed everything.
When the smoke cleared, Seiko lowered his sword, panting heavily. But then… he noticed the red drops falling onto the floor.
He stepped back—instinctively clutching his stomach.
Blood seeped between his fingers. His own blood.
Seiko: "How…?! I should've cut you!"
Kant: "Don't underestimate me just because I look old, brat."
Seiko clenched his teeth.Rage surged through him, overflowing.
He lunged again—but Kant didn't even allow him to swing.Seiko took another hit and crashed to the ground.
Kant raised his hand to the sky, his voice echoing through the arena:
Kant: "Power of fire! Serve and destroy! Suirekai!"
A column of fire descended like it was tearing open the heavens.Seiko barely dodged, but his left arm was completely burned, and his body refused to move.
Kant approached with a smug expression.
Kant: "Is that all, boy? Is this really everything you can do?"
At that moment, Kant's body trembled. The mana around them had turned suffocating and heavy. He looked at Seiko—and froze.
Seiko's wounds had healed.Completely.
But something was wrong. His sword flickered like it was feeding on the hatred swelling inside him. This usually happened because of mental imbalance…
But Kant realized it wasn't confusion—it was pure rage and malice.
Kant: "That's enough, boy. We'll continue later."
Seiko: "Shut your mouth, you old fossil! We're just getting started!"
Seiko stood up.His eyes blazed like fire.He lifted his sword, his voice echoing through the arena:
Seiko: "Melt… Kunkeshan!"
Kant immediately countered:
Kant: "Earth's strength, shield me! Earth Wall!"
A massive wall rose from the ground—but something was strange.
Seiko had shortened the incantation, and his sword's glow was fading more and more.
Seiko noticed it too—but he couldn't stop.He shouldn't stop.
Their eyes met.
Kant realized this fight wouldn't end peacefully. He took a deep breath and raised his sword.
Kant: "You want to be a Sacred Knight, don't you, boy? Then prepare yourself… because I won't hold back anymore.Either you defeat me—or you die!"
Seiko: "Aaaaaaaaaaah!"Kant: "Aaaaaaaaaaah!"
