I had just resolved myself to wake Damar up when Noah showed up.
"I told you to call us if you were going to get started." He said, sounding like a neighborhood pervert here to harass me.
I looked up at him with teary eyes and that proud smug fell into something worrisome.
"What's the matter?" He asked, his voice growing softer.
"I... I don't think I can do it." I said, and then wiped my eyes before the tears fell.
"Why not?"
"Other than that, where are the cubs?" I asked and he pointed back.
"They're taking a nap on Fenric." He said. "And it seems Fenric's also exhausted because he fell asleep too."
I looked past him and saw, at the far end of the cave, deeper into it, Fenric lying on the cold floor with the cubs sprawled over his body.
He had his hands positioned to save them if either of them rolled since he also wanted to sleep.
It was such a cute scene.
"So," Noah squatted by my side, looking caring and there to help. "What's the matter?"
