Chapter 74 - Chapter 74: Finally Checking In at Azkaban

"Audrey," Dumbledore had gotten used to Audrey's sudden appearances. "Gringotts has issued a loan application to Miss Hydrus Lestrange. Since they couldn't find her personally, they came to me."

Audrey: ...

I borrowed money from Gringotts, and then Gringotts, in order to lend me money, borrowed money from me.

A nice tongue twister.

Lending was out of the question, but taking the Lestrange family's wealth into her own pocket ahead of time wasn't impossible.

Dumbledore's voice drifted over lightly, "Audrey, I have heard a little about what you have been doing recently."

Heh, heard a little? I don't believe you, you bad old man.

"Are you really not afraid of the risks doing this?"

"Risks?"

Audrey was stunned for a moment. "Didn't Teacher Grindelwald foresee the future of Ukraine?"

"He probably foresaw it, but he didn't tell me. He just told me to watch a good show."

"Then just watch; this is indeed a good show\!"

Dumbledore: I hate riddlers the most.

...

When she reappeared, Hydrus Lestrange, dressed in a black dress, Apparated inside the Leaky Cauldron.

The drinkers and diners looked at the cold and beautiful young girl and shut their mouths in unison. The entire pub instantly fell into silence.

Hydrus's small leather boots made a click-clack, click-clack sound on the stone floor, striking the customers' hearts as if they heard the death knell from the world of the dead.

How could they not be afraid?

This little girl, at the age of eleven, could 'hunt' adult wizards, even transforming into the evil dragon of Knockturn Alley to deter the entire alley; even when the Ministry of Magic's Aurors came out in full force, they couldn't bring her to justice\!

The ferocious expression on that wanted poster was still fresh in the drinkers' memories\!

Although the wanted poster had been canceled and the Ministry of Magic admitted that Hydrus was a "good citizen," her glorious achievements were still remembered by people.

Daughter of a Death Eater, a murderous dark wizard, and now she was sixteen years old\!

She must be even stronger than five years ago\!

Sigh\! Also sixteen years old, look at Miss Audrey Astley; she and this female devil before their eyes were simply two extremes\!

Hydrus walked to the courtyard as if no one else was there. After she disappeared behind the door, everyone let out a long sigh of relief. In that short minute just now, they had almost forgotten to breathe.

Hydrus didn't intentionally come here to show off; she just really wanted to go shopping in her true appearance.

However, beautiful as she was, everyone seemed to be very afraid of her?

"Hello, is there anything I can do for you?"

A Gringotts goblin banker looked at Hydrus through the high counter window.

"I am Hydrus Lestrange. I heard you are looking for me?"

The goblin banker was stunned at first, then quickly smiled obsequiously. "It's Miss Lestrange\! Please wait a moment; our manager will come out immediately\!"

A minute later, Puzzi ran out in a hurry.

Good grief, Puzzi got a promotion\!

Well, that big fat sheep Audrey was Puzzi's client, wasn't she? What was wrong with giving him a promotion?

"Miss Lestrange\! Hello, I am Puzzi. It is an honor to meet you\!"

Looking at an old acquaintance face-to-face who didn't recognize her felt a bit strange.

"Hello, Mr. Puzzi," Hydrus smiled. "I heard from Headmaster Dumbledore that you were looking for me to borrow money?"

"Yes, Miss\!"

Puzzi smiled fawningly. "We have an extremely huge project right now that requires a large amount of funds." He made a large circle with his hands, drawing a big pie in the air. "Lend gold for three years, and after three years, besides the principal, there will be sixty percent interest\! This is a once-in-a-lifetime good opportunity\!"

Hydrus nodded. "It does sound good, but I have a small problem here."

"Please speak."

"My family's vault is managed by my mother. I can't make the decision."

Puzzi clapped his hands and laughed. "Please rest assured about this. We will contact the Ministry of Magic immediately to arrange a meeting between you and your mother in Azkaban. As long as the handover of vault authority is completed, you can freely use the Lestrange family vault\!"

Hydrus was led to the VIP reception room, where refreshments were already prepared on the gorgeous coffee table.

"Miss Lestrange, do you need anything else?"

"I heard that a new Peking Duck restaurant opened in Westminster. Although it is Muggle food, it is said to be very delicious."

"Okay, Miss\! We will go prepare it for you right away\!"

Reasonably speaking, Audrey had just eaten and shouldn't be hungry.

However—

Everything in the Gringotts VIP reception room was free\!

As for whether she could eat it all—

Are you questioning the appetite of a dragon?

After eating a whole roast duck and polishing off everything edible in the reception room, Puzzi arrived with a Ministry of Magic official.

"Miss Lestrange, we will depart for Azkaban now. This is Mr. Frau Dixon, the prison administrator from the Department of Magical Law Enforcement."

"Miss Lestrange,"

Dixon's face was very gloomy. Presumably, the Ministry's higher-ups making him take Hydrus to Azkaban made him very annoyed.

"We should be going now\!"

Dixon took a basin out of his bag and spoke rudely, raising his chin at Hydrus. "This is a Portkey. Do I need to tell you how to use it?"

Hydrus shook her head and placed her hand on the Portkey, as did Puzzi.

This poor goblin, thinking about his impending trip to Azkaban, began to shake uncontrollably.

"I thought goblins who make the Ministry obedient would be more capable\!"

Accompanied by Dixon's mockery, the three disappeared from the reception room.

This was Hydrus's first time using a Portkey. She didn't feel the sensation of "a hook catching her navel and pulling her into the air." On the contrary, she felt that the spatial passage was particularly kind and gentle to her, like a breeze brushing her face.

The rapidly retreating light and shadow stopped.

The surroundings were dim, covered with dark clouds. The bleak sea wind howled, impacting the shadowy, massive fortress before her eyes.

Sensing the movement here, over a dozen Dementors swarmed over, scaring Puzzi into screaming.

Dixon glanced at Puzzi with disdain. "Heh, goblin."

He held the basin high—this was the agreement between Ministry personnel and Dementors: Dementors were not allowed to attack any wizard holding an Azkaban Portkey.

However, this agreement seemed to have failed. Not only did the Dementors not retreat, but they also accelerated toward them.

"Go back\! All of you go back\!" Dixon also became nervous. He had been to Azkaban countless times, but never had it been like this.

The Dementors seemed to have forgotten their agreement with the Ministry, crowding around and surrounding the three of them.

Puzzi had already collapsed on the ground, trembling. He felt very cold and had lost all happiness—even if he were given ten thousand Galleons right now, he felt he couldn't be happy.

Dixon was slightly better, but he tried to pull out his wand twice without success—it couldn't be helped, his hands were shaking too much.

Hydrus smiled and reached out her hand. The Dementors slowly descended, surrounding her in the center. One Dementor reached out a hand, touching fingertips with hers.

Look, this is a Disney princess\! No matter what you are, you can't resist the charm of a princess\!

Dementor constitution GET\!

This was an almost invincible constitution, except for the fear of the Patronus Charm;

It could absorb happy emotions and souls. Audrey seriously suspected that the birth of Dementors themselves was related to ancient magic—because ancient magic could absorb the emotions of others.

Switching to the Dementor constitution, Hydrus instantly established a mental connection with all the Dementors in Azkaban.

"Return to your nests," Hydrus thought in her mind. "When there is a need, I will summon you."

"Yes, our Queen..."

Dementors had no king because no single Dementor was strong enough to make all Dementors submit.

But Hydrus was different. Individually speaking, she was far too powerful compared to these Dementors, whether in body or soul\!

Watching Hydrus dismiss the Dementors with a wave of her hand, Dixon, who had been very hostile toward Hydrus just now, immediately felt a sense of awe toward her\!

"Mr. Dixon," Hydrus turned her head, a greenish ghostly light flickering in her eyes, causing Dixon to shudder. "You'd better take me to see my mother quickly."

"Y-yes, Miss Hydrus."

Dragging up the paralyzed Puzzi, Dixon led Hydrus toward the interior of the prison.
