Chapter 15 - 15

Police cars and ambulances were always late, and Su Wei was almost asleep waiting when he finally saw Captain Quinnan, who was under investigation, drive over.

He was accompanied by his inseparable Deputy Dickman and people from Internal Affairs.

Seeing Frank's body, the white-haired Quinnan could not hide his emotional tears.

They had fought for a lifetime, many undercover agents had died, and finally this villain was sent to hell.

Quinnan embraced Su Wei tightly, his voice trembling as he said, "Thank you, Billy!"

Deputy Dickman, usually sharp-tongued, uncharacteristically said kindly, "Billy, I apologize to you. I used to be prejudiced against your background, but you are a genuine Massachusetts police officer!"

"It's fine, who told my family to have bad guy genes!" Su Wei didn't like old men's hugs, and as he spoke, he gently pushed Quinnan away.

What he cared more about was, "When can I be reinstated? You promised me that if I caught Frank, I could be directly promoted to detective!"

"This..." Quinnan and Dickman looked at the wary Internal Affairs people behind them and exchanged bitter smiles, "We'll process the paperwork once we're reinstated. Don't worry, if anyone dares to criticize you, I won't be polite!"

Having received confirmation of his undercover to detective promotion, Su Wei left first.

The system's first guaranteed business was completed, and now he had to tie up loose ends.

Crossing most of the city, Su Wei went to Frank's lawyer's office and stole all the call recordings between him and the undercover agents.

Returning to Billy's home, it was almost dawn.

He first picked out Colin's recordings and burned them.

The client had already pawned his memories and started anew; as a conscientious shop owner, Su Wei naturally had to provide good after-sales service.

Then he put away the recordings of Barry Root, who was working for him in distant New Mexico.

This guy still had some value at the moment; although Frank was dead, this recording could be used to control him.

As for the other undercover agents' recordings, Su Wei thought about it and decided they might be useful in the future, so he temporarily put them all away.

Entering the pawnshop space, Su Wei began to examine this transaction.

Except for the transaction with Dr. Walsh, the remaining transactions had not been settled for commission.

He exchanged a way out for Frank's soul.

He exchanged money for Colin never being able to make friends.

He exchanged a new life for Colin's shooting ability.

He exchanged a new life for Billy's shooting ability.

He exchanged a way out for Billy's memories.

He exchanged a life for Colin's popularity with women.

Six transactions, which could be exchanged for cash commission or two pawned items other than souls.

Su Wei's current identity was an undercover agent on probation.

Suddenly acquiring wealth would be too sensitive; even if it were legal income, it would be very troublesome.

Moreover, for Su Wei, who was in a developmental stage, redeeming pawned items was far more useful than wealth.

So Su Wei unhesitatingly chose to redeem pawned items.

According to the results calculated by the system's unknown rules, he could redeem two pawned items this time.

Combined with the latest shooting records from the police academy, Su Wei chose Billy's shooting ability and Colin's popularity with women.

Colin's popularity with women was excellent; he had almost slept with every beautiful woman he had met.

The upright Su Wei originally did not intend to redeem popularity with women, but women in the American drama world were too dangerous.

Such as the Black Widow, who killed without batting an eye.

Captain Marvel, who could destroy an alien squad with one punch.

Gamora, the most dangerous woman in the universe.

The Scarlet Witch, who could destroy heaven and earth when she went mad.

The immortal Ancient One, and so on.

For the sake of his life, to add a protective talisman for himself, Su Wei could only reluctantly redeem Colin's popularity with women.

After the redemption was complete, Su Wei began to check the progress of the Space Stone sample's decryption.

He found that it had advanced another stage.

The pawnshop system had developed two new functions.

One was the home service function.

As long as the shop's business card was anywhere, the owner of the shop could teleport there to provide pawning services.

The other was the location search function.

As long as a potential client was set, the system could pinpoint the locations where the person frequently appeared recently.

Su Wei was trying to find the Super Soldier Serum, and this function came in handy.

However, this function had a slight limitation: it wasn't that precise.

It could only pinpoint a range of roughly one block.

And currently, it was limited to the territory of America.

Su Wei began to ponder the target to search for.

After escaping from S.H.I.E.L.D., his plan hadn't changed.

That was to develop discreetly and at the same time quickly obtain the Super Soldier Serum to make up for the shortcomings of his physical fitness.

The reason he chose the Super Soldier Serum was that other ways of gaining superpowers were full of randomness and irreproducibility.

The Super Soldier Serum was the only superpower experimental technology in American dramas that could be mass-produced.

Su Wei searched his memories for mobile serums from this time period, searching them one by one.

Captain America was hibernating in a glacier; the search results indeed showed he was out of range.

Red Skull was guarding Vormir; the search results indeed showed he was out of range.

Sergeant Barnes, the Winter Soldier, was killing people worldwide; the search results indeed showed he was out of range.

Su Wei racked his brain but couldn't think of any other targets who had been injected with the Super Soldier Serum.

Wait, he suddenly remembered that it wasn't just America and Hydra developing this serum.

In terms of military industry, the Arctic Bear was no weaker than America.

Su Wei instantly thought of Red Guardian.

A superhero from the Arctic Bear, also created from the "Super Soldier" program, on par with Captain America.

But he quickly dismissed this target.

Su Wei remembered that Red Guardian was imprisoned by his own people in a prison somewhere in the Arctic.

He searched for the target without much hope.

"This person's recent location has been confirmed, please check!"

Su Wei was stunned; Red Guardian was actually in America, and in Boston.

The target was in a high-end community in northern Boston.

Did he escape from prison? Or was he sent out on a mission?

Regardless, this was a golden opportunity.

Who knew how difficult the pawnshop's next guaranteed mission would be?

The next day was a busy one.

Su Wei first went to the police station to report for duty; after giving his statement to the female officer, he received a note with a phone number and a super long vacation.

These were routine police procedures for investigating and protecting undercover agents, and the phone number was also part of it; undercover agents needed comprehensive physical and mental checks and counseling.

Then he went to the hospital to see "Colin," who had just undergone surgery; after pawning his memories, he had completely transformed into Colin.

After an in-depth conversation with the female doctor, Su Wei confirmed that "Colin" indeed had no prior memories, so he left the hospital with a flying kiss from the nurse.

Next, Su Wei went to the real estate agency.

As soon as he listed his current residence for sale, the enthusiastic female agent bought it directly.

Then he rode in the female agent's convertible to view houses in the community where Red Guardian was located.

It smells so good!

Su Wei was referring to the perfume on the female agent.
