THEN THE FEAST OF CHAOS
Agro mansion turned the dining hall into a festival.
Long tables. Roasted boar. Fresh bread. Corn, potatoes, more bread.
Stews. Fresh fruits, more meat, more barbeque.
Pies. Wine. Cookies and more wine.
And COFFEE—yes, they prepared an entire table just for me with the help of Coffi who was now a coffee master.
We were loud from the very first minute.
Henry was reenacting how he tripped over a goblin corpse and killed gay orcs who winked at him the whole time.
Joff argued about his eyebrows still not regrowing properly.
Sir Jin dramatically retold how he almost lost his leg to a spider, again, even though he exaggerated heavily.
Sir Alex tried to tell the story so seriously but no one listened.
And then—I introduced Raya.
My baby. My girl. My emotional support two-headed reptile dog.
She padded into the hall with her little claws clicking on the floor.
Two tiny heads. Two tiny sets of golden eyes. Two tiny huffs.
The people froze.
Silence.
