Nikhil 's POV:
I recognized her voice as soon as she entered and spoke her first word after 5 years I couldn't handle myself just turned and faced her after all this years she hasn't changed a bit not even a single but I couldn't handle myself and I let out "Mahi?" I couldn't handle my curiosity I just wanted to hug her right there in front of everybody but then I recalled all that grief that she has given me. As I was recalling everything ... "So you guys know each other? " asked priyan .
I was about to say something when she spoke " Yes ,we do " I thought she was going to say the truth but instead she told something that made me even more sure "Just shared a bench together, hi ,nikil long time.. Hope you are well" she said with her perfect straight smile . I replied with a kind of familiarnes " Yes I'm being well Mahi" .
That didn't affected her as it affected me the way she told the way she described how we met that we barely knew each other was heartbreaking but yet good to know that she finally moved on I still hate her but I can't unlove her presence or absence.
"So mahi let's go the auditorium hall everybody is waiting for the next senior lawyer let's go there I know who has got the promotion" said priyan with a grumpy tone.
Yes let's go" she said ... She didn't even glanced back at me she just moved forward as I was walking with Priyan towards the auditorium hall when I reached there where other five candidates including home standing in a straight row.
I can just tell that how nervous she is while she's acting all cool in the room full of various people all I could see is her then at that point Madam Rohini then said something that made the cold auditorium burst into applause....
