Chapter 3 - True name 2

Alex sat silently at the center of his room, his eyes half-closed and his face marked by intense concentration. His body remained perfectly still, yet deep within him a storm of energies moved slowly, as if they were planets circling a mysterious inner sun—

a sun that was nothing other than the essence of his soul.

Gradually, his awareness slipped inward. He felt himself shift from the physical world into another realm—one that belonged to him alone. A realm of dark stillness, scattered with faint strands of light like distant memories. He found himself standing on the surface of a perfectly calm lake stretching endlessly forward, surrounded by a dense darkness without sky or earth… just a pure void that held everything and nothing at once.

At the heart of that lake floated the four fragments of his soul, each glowing with a different light, each one a distinct note in the symphony of his existence. They drifted slowly, like sleeping breaths waiting to be awakened. Alex stood before them, sensing a call rising from within—

a call telling him that the time had come to attempt something dangerous, something he was not certain he could achieve.

He closed his eyes in that inner realm, gathering all his awareness into a single point, then pushed it toward the four soul fragments. He needed to know whether the idea forming in his mind was madness… or possibility.

He began manipulating the fragments, guiding them with threads of spiritual light. The first moved, then the second, the third, and finally the fourth, inching closer together. It felt like shifting mountains through dense mist; every motion demanded tremendous mental effort, every attempt at fusion met with a natural resistance, as if the soul itself rejected being touched.

But Alex did not stop.

His concentration deepened, his will tightening around the energies he commanded. Sweat streamed down his forehead in the physical world, while in the inner world the light between the four fragments intensified. With each heartbeat, the gaps narrowed—

until at last they merged, forming a hexagonal crystal that glowed with pale blue light, pulsing with a strange new energy he had never felt before.

The crystal rotated slowly above the lake's surface, radiating a dense spiritual presence like a newborn heart. Alex could see it clearly through his inner sight, and he knew it was no symbol—no mere shape—but a living construct born from the core of his soul.

Then he summoned his third ability—Soul Shaping.

He raised his hand within the inner realm, and a beam of blue light extended toward the crystal. It trembled, expanded, and gradually transformed into a larger, spherical form floating above the lake. Its outer surface shimmered like the skin of an unknown planet, while inside, the four soul fragments continued to orbit a radiant center.

It was a breathtaking sight; each fragment glowing with a distinct resonance, like a spiritual orchestra performing a sacred melody only he could hear. Alex felt that this new entity was the first foundation of a power that would one day become the key to his survival in this strange world.

He closed his eyes once more and began shaping the four fragments within the sphere, each with a purpose he meticulously defined.

He began with the first fragment. Enveloping it in a soft golden glow, he whispered inwardly:

> "You are the part that embodies life… everything I have seen, everything I have known, every living being I encountered in my past life… You will be the memory that brings them into existence."

The fragment brightened, morphing into a pulsing mass of life—shifting between countless forms: a human silhouette, an animal, a bird, then a formless shadow. It now held the power to manifest living creatures from his memory.

He turned to the second fragment, surrounding it with a pure silver light:

> "You are the hand that reaches outward… the bridge between the inner and the outer, capable of carrying what is within the soul into the real world."

It settled against the sphere's inner wall, shining with an outward-flowing force—the birth of his second major ability: projecting manifested beings into reality.

Then came the third fragment, unstable and crackling with restless energy. Alex steadied it with his will:

> "You are the part that unifies power… the link between souls, able to merge abilities within the creatures I shape."

The fragment surged with deep violet light, flexible and powerful, able to weave differences into harmony.

Finally, he faced the fourth fragment—strange, almost transparent, as if it barely belonged to the rest. It felt closest to pure awareness.

He lifted his hand toward it and whispered:

> "And you… you will be the bridge to the world. Not a tool, but an eye seeking meaning. You will grant the beings I form the ability to absorb mana from the world beyond. You will give me the strength to face the unknown."

The fragment unfurled like a flower of light, releasing thin, shimmering threads that expanded to the sphere's outermost boundary. Alex felt them connect to the physical world, as if his consciousness had crossed the edge of the soul.

The sphere was nearly complete now—rotating slowly above the spiritual lake, glowing with a celestial light that pushed back the surrounding darkness. Yet Alex understood it wasn't a living being; it was no independent soul, no conscious entity. It was a spiritual construct—

a weapon, a tool of will, crafted as an extension of himself.

He gazed at it with awe, his chest swelling with both pride and reverence. What he had created was not merely a technique or ability—it was the beginning of an entire system that could reshape his relationship with the world.

He extended his hand toward the sphere, and it responded immediately, pulsing in rhythm with his heartbeat. In that moment, he felt the barrier between them dissolve, as if they had become one.

> "Now… I have the means to explore this world,"

he whispered to himself with steady certainty.

The inner realm began to tremble, its light growing until it swallowed everything. When Alex opened his eyes, he was still sitting in his room—

but his soul was different.

Deeper. Sharper. More present.

Within him, a new entity had been born:

a hexagonal crystal transformed into a sphere of meaning and power.

Still silent… yet Alex knew:

This spiritual weapon would one day become the key to his greatest evolution.
