"Hey, baby. Which colour do you like best, Pink or Blue?" Curtis asked over the phone.
Lara frowned at the suddenness of the question.
"I don't know. I think it depends on the context. Why?" she responded.
"I'm trying to get you your personal car, and I have no idea what colour you would want it to be. So I called to ask."
Curtis dropped the explanation in such a casual manner that made Lara's jaw drop open.
A car?
"What do you mean, get me a car?" she asked, managing to get her jaw off the floor.
"It occurred to me that all the cars in the garage belong to me. You don't have any in your name. We need to change that."
A groan slipped past Lara's lips.
"Come on, Curtis. Don't be ridiculous. You know I don't need a car. You don't have to get me anything," she stated.
But from the silence on the other end of the phone, it was obvious that Curtis's mind was made up.
"Pink or Blue?" he asked again.
Lara rubbed her forehead.
