Chapter 25 - Chapter 25 Was it actually cut?

The Dream Experience Store uses the gimmick of Dreams to attract customers curious about Dreams, and the locals love it.

Dreams can be compared to airplanes, cannons, guns, and other weapons—things ordinary people can't access, but they still love the models and items that resemble them.

Not just children, even adults are captivated.

However, according to Bai Mu's understanding, most of the items here are 'models,' but there are also non-model items, like excavators.

"Everything used here is compliant and legal. Our boss has purchased the rights to use the shapes of the relevant items," the clerk explained to Bai Mu with a formulaic smile, also subtly informing other customers.

"Dreams are dangerous, but the things in Dreams can be replicated. Like this, it's a porcelain piece that's been preserved for thousands of years in Dreams..."

"From last week, right?" Looking at the porcelain vase the clerk picked up, Bai Mu didn't understand. It looked somewhat like blue and white porcelain? Quite pretty.

"It's a replica." The shop assistant calmly put the porcelain back and picked up another item: "And this, a replica of a gun from another dream."

"Is it a 1:1 internal replica?" Bai Mu asked again.

The shop assistant shook his head: "Of course not, because some skilled customers would be able to replicate the real thing, and that would be illegal."

His words made some customers chuckle. Although it wasn't a replica, the gun looked very nice, much better looking than any weapon they had ever seen. In comparison, the local weapons seemed utterly 'crude'.

"Let me see some real stuff." Bai Mu was curious about the 'real stuff' here.

Since this shop was legal and compliant, the real stuff that appeared here could probably appear anywhere in this world without any problem. The first things that came to mind were flashlights and bicycles.

Those things could be made with the technology of this era; it was just a matter of how well they were replicated.

Under Bai Mu's curious gaze, the shop assistant found a skateboard, roller skates… wait, why is there Nike? Is this made in Putian or Yiwu?

"These kinds of dream items are non-controlled goods, complete replicas of the genuine articles."

"That thing?" Bai Mu pointed to the phone again; the one on the shelf was a replica.

"Although it's non-controlled, it's extremely difficult to replicate, so each genuine item is unique." The shop assistant seemed very professional, but Bai Mu was inwardly suspicious.

It might be unique in this world, but in other worlds, it would be commonplace.

Since the shop assistant said so, Bai Mu felt relieved: "I need to discuss a business deal with your boss."

"Please come with me." The shop assistant still had a smile on her face and said naturally, without disturbing other customers.

She led Bai Mu to a less crowded area: "The boss is very busy. If you want to discuss business, please explain your situation first."

Bai Mu took out the phone that Torn had given him in the dream world. After all that setup, now that it was confirmed that this thing wasn't controlled, he wasn't worried about anything. He

couldn't let his phone go to waste; he definitely had to keep it. Keeping a blank phone would only result in watching the battery drain away, so it was better to exchange it for something more valuable.

Under the watchful eye of the shop assistant, Bai Mu turned on the phone and operated it a few times.

The shop assistant immediately said, "Please wait a moment."

The shop assistant who left soon returned, but this time she was wearing different clothes and was no longer in the shop's uniform.     "Are you the owner?"

"I'm just the manager of this shop. Please come with me."

The shop assistant led Bai Mu to a room where snacks and tea were already prepared.

With a smile, the shop assistant said, "This phone is from Yimeng. We can offer between four and six thousand yuan. The price fluctuates greatly depending on the type of phone, the completeness of the accessories, and the information stored inside."

Bai Mu's handling of the phone and his familiarity with its operation convinced the shop assistant that he was knowledgeable, or at least someone who frequently handled such items.

Therefore, when making the offer, she didn't act like a typical businessman, wielding a sharp sword. The price was generous, but not as ruthless as a dragon-slaying weapon.

Phones from Yimeng are something only the wealthy collect. Although some of the phone's functions have been researched, the built-in camera and other features are still unique.

Those wealthy people who want these phones aren't so much buying the communication functions as they are buying lenses specifically for them. Some researchers, on the other hand, want the phone's computing capabilities.

There are quite a few of these items, but when distributed around the world, they become rare.

If this shop weren't located on Rota Avenue in Rota City, they wouldn't have genuine phones here.

"No accessories." Bai Mu placed the phone on the table.

The clerk nodded: "Complete accessories account for a quarter of the total price. The phone lacks necessary charging accessories and will soon become unusable. Can I have it appraised?"

  "Sure."

The clerk picked up the phone and quickly completed the appraisal. The phone had a few numbers on its memory, but not much information. Its operation was far superior to the 'counterfeits' of this world.

Those counterfeits could only fool those who didn't know their value; they were hard to fool for those who had actually handled phones.

Those who were fooled were likely dealing with very primitive phones. The phone Bai Mu brought was basically 99% new, very clean internally, and didn't contain any information from the alternate dream.

The camera was excellent, and it had 6+128GB of memory, but unfortunately, it lacked complete charging accessories.

In the alternate dream world, these kinds of accessories might be cheap, but outside of it, they're crucial. Without them, a phone without power easily becomes a brick.

Unless someone modifies it with an external battery, but that would compromise the phone's integrity, wealthy people prefer a fully functional phone.

"I can offer 18,000 for it."

"I risked my life for this thing, and it's only worth 18,000?" Bai Mu grumbled, though his true thoughts were another matter; he couldn't show it too eagerly.

"If you have accessories, this phone is worth over 25,000." "

Then give me 25,000. If not, I'll look elsewhere."

"Okay, please come with me." The clerk put away the phone, led Bai Mu to another room, and promptly paid in cash, handing him a business card: "If you have anything similar that's legal, feel free to come back."

"..." This was quite frustrating. The clerk agreed too readily, acted too quickly, leaving Bai Mu wondering if he'd been slashed by a dragon-slaying sword.
