Chapter 1 - What is Conca?

Conka... mystical jewels that are not crafted, but born within humans.

They dwell deep inside the body, awakening only when the time is right.

In the Empire of Brishana, people live peaceful lives across two vast islands,

unaware of the hidden powers flowing through their veins—

and of the great lands that lie beyond the endless sea.

They believed their world ended where the waves met the horizon...

But the truth was far greater than they ever imagined.

> The morning sun rose over the Empire of Brishana

as Shion entered the room of her lazy son, Yamo Kagimitsu.

"Yamooo! You'll be late for school!"

Yamo groaned, pulling the pillow over his face.

"Mom, it's a holiday… right?"

But his excuse didn't work this time. With a sigh, he finally got up, dragging his feet.

Unlike him, his brother Ryoga had been awake before dawn.

At school, Yamo got into trouble with a group of bullies who wanted to "teach him a lesson."

If not for the teacher's sudden appearance, things might've gone badly.

One of the bullies muttered as he left,

"Wait for us after school, coward."

Ryoga heard nothing of it, while Yamo spent the rest of the day anxious and restless—

until he decided to sneak out before classes ended.

He had no idea that moment would change his life forever...

A blinding light...

A deafening crash...

Then silence.

Three days later, Yamo opened his eyes slowly.

The room was filled with white light, and the scent of medicine hung in the air.

Beside him sat Ryoga, pale-faced but smiling faintly.

"Where am I? What happened?" Yamo asked weakly.

Ryoga answered carefully, "A truck hit you… your right leg is broken, brother."

Before he could respond, Shion burst into the room, tears streaming down her face.

"Yamo! Oh thank goodness, you're awake!" she cried, hugging him tightly before shouting through sobs,

"Why were you running in the streets like that?! You could've died!"

The doctor entered, interrupting the moment.

"His condition is stable," he said. "But… he won't be able to walk again. He'll need a wheelchair for life."

Silence.

Yamo's eyes froze—his heart screamed long before his voice did.

He broke down crying, while his mother stepped out to call his father, Yashion,

who returned hours later, walking as if carrying mountains on his shoulders.

Days passed. Yamo went back to school in his wheelchair.

Some students laughed at him. Ryoga ignored them, powerless to help.

That night, Yamo left the house at one in the morning,

standing under the rain, the cold biting into his skin.

"Why am I alive? Who would I even die for?"

He screamed into the night, then took a deep breath and muttered,

"No one…"

He turned to go home.

But as he reached the gate, he saw two strangers standing there.

"Who are you?!" Yamo shouted.

The men didn't answer. They forced their way in—

and within seconds, the roof shattered and dust filled the air.

Yamo wheeled himself toward his father's room, calling his name—

but stopped when a violent crash shook the house.

Through the debris, Yashion burst upward, fighting the two intruders with fierce energy.

"What the hell… are they even human?" Yamo whispered, trembling.

His father shouted from above,

"Ryoga! Take your mother and brother—run!"

Ryoga pushed Yamo's chair as fast as he could, while Shion ran beside them, crying.

The streets were empty. It was half past one—no cars, no people, only silence.

Back at the house, one of the strangers sneered,

"So, you're one of them, aren't you, Yashion?"

He replied calmly, "And if I am?"

The man grinned. "Then you're mine."

Yashion raised his hand—

a strange light glowed from the ring on his finger.

"Transformation—Second Level!"

His body flared with magical energy, ancient symbols glowing on his skin,

and a silver spear formed in his grasp.

The stranger clapped mockingly, touching the earring on his ear.

"Transformation—Second Level!"

His body ignited with burning chains that cracked and hissed like lava.

They clashed—speed and power colliding in bursts of light and thunder.

For a brief moment, Yashion looked up and saw his family running far away.

He smiled faintly… and whispered:

"Self–Detonation."

And then, everything was swallowed by light
