It was Thanksgiving's eve and everyone was home for the feast .Though scared the people of Green falls still put smiles on their faces , wondering who die tomorrow .
Knowing the recurring disaster , I decided to patrol around the community to ensure nothing suspicious happens . It was quite boring as everyone was sleeping in their houses.
By exactly 1:53AM I heard a loud cry coming from the Stephens family house. I ran there as fast as my feet could. By the time I got to the house I saw Mrs. Katherine Stephens lying in the pool of her own blood. Her daughter Grace Stephens was crying profusely and her husband George was still in shock . He just kept on murmuring to the neighbors how she promised to teach him her special macaroons recipe and now she is no more .
I decided to give them some time to calm down before asking them questions, because I know how it feels to be a victim of this mysterious happening.
On my way out of the house, I overheard Mr Parker and Mr Alex arguing but what Mr Alex said drew my attention the most
"I told you it would be Katherine this time , didn't I ?"
I was in shock wondering how he knew it was going to be her but I decided to wait till the following morning to ask.
The trail back home was quiet and lonely as usual but I could help but notice the crows circling the atmosphere
This news will not be easy to take for the people of Green falls as Mrs. Katherine was a lady that everyone was fond of. Though she didn't have much she managed to make everyone around her happy with the little she had. Mrs. Katherine was a teacher at Green falls high school . She was really close to my mum before this tragic event took my mum 10 years ago. Ever since then, Mrs. Katherine has been like a mother to me . She saw me through police school. So I could get to the bottom of my mum's death and now she's gone too.
What a tragedy!!!!
