Chapter 37 - Chapter 37:

He was the ruler of Alchimie City, and even outside of Alchimie, you were still someone influential, no one dared to provoke you. The Robbery family's actions this time were no different from seeking their own death. That's why the players who used to be close to "Liona" all ran away, afraid of bringing trouble upon themselves.

In Alchimie City, anyone who dares offend Captain is essentially inviting the destruction of their entire family!

Seeing that the people who once obeyed her were now avoiding her like she was some kind of pest, Liona felt a surge of burning rage. She originally wanted to teach them a lesson, but suddenly her phone started ringing. The repeated ringing made her head throb.

Fuming, she pulled out her phone only to see that her father was calling. Liona immediately forced herself to calm down and answered:

"Dad, I'm about to go to class. If you have something to say, please make it quick."

"Liona, all of this is because of you. If it weren't for you, Director Anderson wouldn't have done this to the Robbery family. We've lost our land, and our business from now on… it's over."

Her father's voice was no longer the same as before, it was defeated, hoarse, and heavy with sorrow. The Robbery family… was finished.

Hearing this, Liona felt her mind buzz. She clenched her teeth, her eyes turning red.

"Then what should we do? My friends won't talk to me anymore, they avoid me like I'm cursed. Dad, I can't take this…"

On the other end, her father suddenly went silent.

"Dad?" Liona called anxiously.

"After school, you're coming with me to apologize to Director Anderson and beg for his forgiveness," Mr. Robbery said sharply.

Liona felt a pang of fear, her voice weakening.

"Will… will that even work?"

"Whether it works or not, we have to try." His voice turned cold. "When the time comes, you must use everything you have to make Director Anderson forgive us. Even if it means going to bed with him."

Liona's heart turned icy. Was her father… selling her out?

Before she could say anything, there was a sharp beebeep, Mr. Robbery had already hung up.

Liona stared at her phone, her face pale as a sheet.

...

After school, Hezze and I walked out of the school gate together. I glanced around, and sure enough, the flashy Rolls-Royce wasn't there. Captian really had kept his promise. I felt genuinely happy, my steps light and buoyant. "Hezze, did you forget our plan for the weekend?"

"Of course not. Aren't I supposed to teach you how to play the piano?" She hooked her arm around mine, smiling excitedly. "Come on, come home with me now."

I walked a few steps, the blue ribbon on my head fluttering in the wind.

"Rosy, I've wanted to ask you for a long time where did you buy that blue ribbon? It's really beautiful." Hezze stared at it with admiration. "Especially the pattern on it. It looks so elegant and luxurious."

Huh… the ribbon? That ribbon was given to me by Captian probably custom-made, definitely not something you could buy outside.

"A friend gave it to me. I don't know where it's from." I avoided looking into Hezze's eyes as I said it.

Friend? What kind of friend was Captian supposed to be?

Hezze looked disappointed. "You don't know either? I've checked every store in Alchimie and haven't seen anything like it. Even Taobao doesn't sell it. So weird… Could it be custom-made?"

"Maybe," I answered, trying not to look guilty.

Hezze lived in a villa district luxurious mansions everywhere. Not as large or extravagant as Captian's estate, of course, but still impressive for normal wealthy families. Her parents, both doctors, were working late at the hospital, so only the housekeeper was home.

The housekeeper, Mrs. Lyly, was a warm-looking middle-aged woman.

"Miss, is this your classmate?" she asked kindly.

"Yes," Hezze nodded, smiling. "She's a new classmate. She's really nice. Later, we're going to practice in the music room. If you need to bring anything in, you can just come in directly, no need to knock."

Mrs. Lyly nodded and headed to the kitchen.

"Rosy, I'll take you to the music room. It's huge." Hezze, like a child showing off a treasure, pulled me upstairs with excitement.

The music room truly was big. A floor-to-ceiling window covered with sheer, silk-like curtains swayed softly in the breeze. Near it stood a black piano polished, immaculate, and obviously expensive.

"I'll teach you how to read sheet music first." She opened a book in front of me.

I glanced at the notes, they looked like clusters of little tadpoles. I couldn't understand anything.

Hezze was patient, explaining everything step by step. It took nearly an hour before I finally understood the basics, though my head was spinning and I felt unbearably sleepy.

Just then, Mrs. Lyly brought in a plate of sliced apples.

"Rosy, let's eat apples first. After that, we'll try playing the piano."

Hearing there was food, my eyes immediately lit up. The apple tasted sweet, as if coated with honey.

After eating, Hezze went back into teacher mode. "Let's learn the keys next."

I nodded. I didn't really get it, but as long as I followed her instructions, I'd be fine.

Another hour or two passed, and the sky outside had gone completely dark. Feeling that I had learned enough for today, I decided to return to the villa.

"Hezze, I'll head back. I'll come again tomorrow," I said, waving goodbye.

But as soon as I stepped out of the house, I noticed a black car parked under the trees across the street, its headlights on as if waiting for someone.

Could Captian have sent someone to pick me up?

I walked closer one cautious step at a time. When I reached the car, the window slid down, revealing Ronan's handsome face.

"Sister-in-law!" he greeted me with a huge grin.

I opened the door and sat in the back seat.

"Did President Anderson ask you to pick me up?"

Ronan nodded eagerly. "Yes. You're a girl, and girls walking alone at night can run into bad people. President Anderson told me to fetch you."

"Oh…" I didn't feel much of anything. I turned to look out the window, neon lights flickering across my cheeks.

"Ronan, has President Anderson already returned to the villa?" I suddenly asked.

Hands on the steering wheel, he replied patiently, "He got back around four today."

I blinked, surprised. I didn't expect Captian to return so early. Instinctively, I patted my little face. When I saw him later, I had to greet him with a smile play the obedient, well-behaved girl. Ugh… exhausting.

Soon the car arrived at the villa. But in front of the entrance, I noticed a strange vehicle a Volkswagen, very ordinary but well-maintained and shiny.

"Ronan, whose car is that? Do we have guests?" I asked, genuinely curious. Someone visiting a terrifying man like Captian? Whoever it was, they must have nerves of steel not to be scared half to death.

Ronan glanced at it, suddenly remembering something. "Ah, that's the Robbery family. They brought their daughter."

I couldn't react for a moment. "The Robbery family? Who?"

Ronan gestured exaggeratedly. "That one, your classmate Liona."

Only then did I understand.

So it was Liona. Today the whole school had been buzzing with rumors about her, and her reputation had completely tanked. Even her old friends refused to associate with her now, they were all afraid of offending Captian and bringing disaster upon themselves.
