"Get someone blessed by the spirit of water with medium attunement." said the man with white hair and light green eyes.
"Yes, high instructor Alec." Zandra Aile said as she ran out of the room
"Get me my gloves along with three tainted ores." said the man known as Alec Hale and his direct surbodinates ran to get what he asked.
"We will discuss your punishment with the Academy later." Alec Hale said to Auralith Kane and Auralith Kane paled.
"Did all the students complete the test?" Alec Hale asked calmly.
"Five candidates didn't complete this test." Auralith Kane said fearfully.
"This last phase of the test will be rescheduled for those five, evacuate all candidates immediately." Alec said calmly and Auralith Kane hurried to usher the rest of the candidates out of the entrance test hall.
"High Instructor Alec, we have brought the items you asked for" Alec's direct surbodinates said at the same time Zandra Aile said "I managed to find two people blessed by the spirit of water with medium attunement."
Nodding to his surbodinates and Zandra Aile, Alec Hale turned to the the male and female brought by Zandra Aile, Alec said "Thank you for finding the time to be here." with a bow of respect.
"An instructor under my jurisdiction made a grave mistake and I would like you to help me save this young girl's life." Alec Hale said in a respectful tone.
"Save?" The make and female said in panic.
"She is going through something called overload and the only ways to get out of it, is to have a big external shock or tire one's self out." Alec said as he turned to face the situation.
"For now the only option we have is to wait for her to tire herself but a temperature this high might shut down all her organs." said Alec.
Turning to face the man and woman again, Alec said "If it isn't too much, I would like for you to make this room as cold as possible." with a bow and the male and female nodded quickly.
Wearing the gloves that were connected by a low density metal, Alec ignored the heat as she stepped closer to Princess Marina and placed his hands on Princess Marina's forehead. Steeling himself to withstand the heat, Alec syphoned the heat from Princess Marina into the tainted ores. Following his cue, the male and female blessed with medium attunement to the spirit of water began to reduce the temperature in the room.
Seeing numerous candidates flooding out of the test hall, Lorraine stopped leaning on the carriage and squinted her eyes in search of Princess Marina. After five minutes of not spotting her, Lorraine assumed Princess Marina was held back by one of the instructors but when she noticed that the candidates were anxiously discussing among themselves, worry began to gnaw at Lorraine.
"Are they discussing how hard the entrance test was?" Lorraine thought as she peered at the candidates who formed numerous circles at the bottom of the stairs leading to the entrance test hall.
"But they look so serious." Lorraine said as she peered at their anxious faces.
"It won't hurt to ask." Lorraine said as she dusted herself up and put a smile on her face.
Walking to a girl with neon green hair who had a rather anxious expression, Lorraine said "I am sorry to bother you but I am the head maid for the third star of the empire, Princess Marina." with a smile.
"I noticed that a bunch of candidates came out but Princess Marina has yet to leave the entrance test hall so could you please tell me if she was held back by an instructor or if the test is still ongoing?" Lorraine asked with a smile but her smile slipped when everyone in the circle became gravely serious.
"Why are they looking at me like that?" Lorraine thought as her eyes swept across the candidates.
"Did something happen?" Lorraine asked tentatively but when everyone avoided her gaze and no one replied to her, Lorraine promptly left the circle and ran up the stairs to the entrance test hall.
