Evelin's POV
Millie's cheeks burned crimson. She clearly hadn't expected Selina to spill everything right in front of Rey.
"You're hilarious, Millie," Selina shot back, her attention shifting to Rey as she traced a playful finger along his jawline. "Why would I want anyone else when I have a man like this? Unless you're suggesting he's not worth multiple times those other guys?"
Rey tilted his head slightly, not brushing her hand away.
His typically aloof expression transformed into something unexpectedly magnetic. "So I'm the only one you see?"
Shocked murmurs swept through the gathering.
Is this really the notorious Mr. Tanner who's always been ice-cold around women?
The crowd couldn't mask their astonishment.
Millie looked like she'd been slapped. Did Rey actually just say that? And to Selina—that social climber?
The two socialites flanking her, who'd been smirking moments before, suddenly went pale.
