Evelin's POV
I stared at Jimmy, shock coursing through me. This wasn't the cold, detached man I'd encountered at the party.
His distinctive eyes now burned with chaos, inner conflict, and barely contained rage—the intensity of his stare made my pulse stutter.
"Tell me," Jimmy commanded. "Why do you keep showing up in my path?"
His fury wasn't simple anger—it was anguish, envy, and suffering all rolled into one.
"I... I was just here with Selina for the party," I stuttered.
But deep down, I knew that wasn't the whole truth. Part of me had wanted to see him—to probe my own feelings, to discover if I still loved this man I could no longer believe in.
"Just tagging along with Selina, right?" Jimmy sneered, his chuckle laced with mockery. 'Naturally. What did I think would happen?'
Suddenly, I gasped, "Jimmy, what happened to your hand? Are you hurt?"
