Evelin's POV
I was caught off guard, but before I could get a word out, Jimmy snapped at Wallace, "Enough. Evelin and I are finished—stop dragging her into this mess. Those meds you prescribed aren't doing shit. Just give me something different."
Wallace looked troubled as he replied, "You've already switched medications multiple times!"
Wallace looked utterly helpless, and I could guess what he was thinking—that if this continued, there wouldn't be any options left for Jimmy to try. His insomnia probably stemmed from psychological issues that couldn't be fixed with pills alone.
"Switch them," Jimmy said, his voice sharp and final.
Wallace let out a weary sigh. "Fine, I'll change them."
I couldn't stop myself from speaking up. "Really? You're not going to run additional tests? He's been on those medications for a while now, hasn't he?"
