Chapter 31 - Chapter 31: The New Passion

That night changed everything.

We drank, we laughed, and the tension between us grew in a way that felt natural—almost inevitable. When our eyes met for the third or fourth time, the world around us faded. It was as if the years that had passed since childhood had pulled us apart just so they could throw us back together at the perfect moment.

One thing led to another, and we ended up leaving the party together. At the motel, the atmosphere shifted completely. There was no awkwardness, no hesitation—only a surprising and overwhelming connection that hit me all at once.

She was beautiful. Not just her face or her body, but the confidence, the warmth, the way she touched me as if she already knew me deeply. After everything I had lived, after months tentando me recompor, sentir aquilo novamente… foi quase chocante.

We kissed, we explored each other slowly, as if rediscovering something forgotten. Every move felt intense after so long without real intimacy. Her breathing, her warmth, the way she held me—it all made the moment feel powerful, overwhelming in a way I hadn't experienced in years.

When she leaned closer and whispered, "I'm going to…," I felt her entire body shiver.Seconds later, I felt my own control slipping. It had been too long, and the moment was too strong.

When everything calmed down, we lay beside each other, catching our breath. And suddenly a thought crossed my mind:

"Where was the condom?"

Yeah… not my smartest moment. We both laughed about it after, still breathless.

When it was over, we got dressed and went our separate ways.It should've been a one-night thing. Just two adults reconnecting for a moment.

But it wasn't.

Hours later, my phone vibrated.A message from her.

A simple "Did you get home safe?" — but it carried something more.Curiosity. Interest. Connection.

And from that point on, the conversation didn't stop. What began as a spark quickly became a flame, and for the first time since my divorce, I felt something revive inside me—something I thought had died forever.

Hope.
