Chapter 4 - Chapter 4 Assessment

The ball, like a meteor, plunged into the top corner, causing the net to billow.

On the Leganés training ground, after a brief silence, there was a chorus of low gasps.

The players looked at each other, their eyes filled with disbelief.

They had seen talented youngsters before, but such a precise, powerful, and acutely angled long shot was rare even at the U19 or B Team level.

Chema Rico's pupils contracted almost imperceptibly.

He quickly reined in all emotions, returning to his usual stern, professional expression.

He knew that in front of these young players, any hint of surprise could be magnified.

"Continue training!" he bellowed, his voice loud, pulling the players on the field back to reality from their shock.

Lu Chuan did not become complacent because of this. He knew that one burst of talent did not represent everything.

He took a deep breath, suppressed the excitement in his heart, and continued to immerse himself in the upcoming group scrimmage.

The 'Body Transformation' brought by the System made him feel at ease; whether it was positioning, passing, or defending, he seemed to handle it with ease.

His vision was broad, always able to predict the ball's trajectory in advance; his passes were precise, always finding the best open space; and his off-ball movement made it difficult for defenders to track him.

He deliberately controlled the frequency of his long shots, no longer intentionally triggering 'Guaranteed Long Shot'.

He wanted to display a comprehensive, reliable player, not a 'lottery-type' forward who only got lucky with a shot.

What he needed was a stable professional contract and the opportunity to play immediately.

After the scrimmage ended, the players left one after another. Lu Chuan was called over by Chema Rico.

"Lu Chuan, come with me to the office."

Chema Rico's tone was still calm, but it made Lu Chuan's heart pound fiercely.

It's happening.

In the office, besides Chema Rico, there was another person standing with his back to the door, looking out at the training ground from the window.

The man was tall and straight, with short silver-gray hair glistening in the sunlight.

Lu Chuan recognized him at a glance—the middle-aged white man who had observed him outside the street football pitch yesterday.

"Have a seat, Lu Chuan." Chema Rico gestured to a chair.

The middle-aged white man turned around, a gentle smile on his face.

His gaze fell on Lu Chuan, with both scrutiny and appreciation.

"Hello, Lu Chuan.

I am Juan Carlos, the Sporting Director of Leganés Club." He extended his hand.

A huge wave surged in Lu Chuan's heart.

Sporting Director! No wonder he only observed yesterday but could directly facilitate the Leganés trial.

He firmly shook Juan's hand: "Hello, Mr. Juan."

Juan motioned for him to sit down, his tone unhurried: "We have conducted a detailed evaluation of you, including physical data, technical characteristics, and your performance on the field."

He paused, then looked sharply at Lu Chuan, "Especially your long-range shooting ability, it is very outstanding. That shot today was impressive."

Lu Chuan's heart was in his throat.

"Considering your age and potential, and the fact that you currently do not have an agent, we have decided to offer you a three-year professional contract."

Juan's voice carried an undeniable authority, "The contract will take effect immediately, with an annual salary of 30,000 euros, plus bonuses based on playing time and performance.

You will initially play for our B Team, but as long as you perform well, you will always have the opportunity to join the first team."

An annual salary of 30,000 euros! In the segunda división b league, which was then the fourth-tier League in Spain, this was a very good contract for a young player who had just turned 18.

More importantly, it was a passport to stay in Europe and continue his football dream!

Lu Chuan felt a huge sense of relief wash over him, almost engulfing him. The gloom of his previous life was finally completely dispelled at this moment. He clenched his fists tightly, his knuckles turning white.

"Regarding the International Transfer Certificate (ITC) issue," Juan continued, as if seeing through Lu Chuan's concerns, "We have already communicated with Evergrande Football School.

They are asking for 200,000 euros in youth training compensation.

We will pay this fee; you don't need to worry.

Our B Team currently has an open non-EU player slot, so your registration and transfer procedures can be completed immediately during the winter window, and you will be able to play for the team very soon."

Lu Chuan suddenly looked up, his eyes shining.

200,000 euros, although still a considerable expense, for a La Liga team, paying it for a potential rising star was much more reasonable than 700,000 euros.

More importantly, he could play immediately, instead of waiting for the long summer window!

"I accept!" Lu Chuan's voice was a little hoarse, with uncontrollable excitement.

Juan and Chema Rico exchanged smiles.

"Very good." Juan handed over a contract and then pointed to the lawyer next to him, "This is the club's legal counsel; he will explain the contract terms to you in detail.

If you have no objections, we will complete the signing today after confirming the medical examination results."

Lu Chuan took the contract and, under the lawyer's guidance, reviewed it clause by clause.

Every clause was a hundred times more standardized and transparent than the "blank contract" from Shenxin in his previous life.

He almost trembled as he finished reading everything, confirming it was correct.

The subsequent medical examination process was fast and efficient. The Leganés medical team conducted a comprehensive check on him, confirming that his physical condition was good and there were no hidden problems.

When he returned to the office, Juan had already prepared a pen and a camera.

"Congratulations, Lu Chuan. Welcome to Leganés!" Juan said with a smile.

Lu Chuan picked up the pen and solemnly signed his name on the contract.

With a "click," the flash went off. Juan shook hands with Lu Chuan, and Chema Rico stood by, recording this historic moment.

This contract will be immediately submitted to the Spanish Football Association and FIFA to complete the registration and International Transfer Certificate processing.

The moment the pen tip touched the paper, the System's prompt sounded in his mind again.

"Emergency Mission: Escape Predicament, Obtain Professional Contract, Start Professional Career has been completed!"

"Mission Reward: training space time acceleration bonus increased to 5x, obtained Talent: Precise Crossing."

"New Mission: Become a Leganés B Team Starter (this season) has been issued! Completing the mission will grant a mysterious reward and unlock more data on the Personal Panel."

Lu Chuan's breath hitched. New talents, stronger training efficiency, and the clear goal of becoming a B Team starter, and this season! The System was pushing him to a higher level.

He stood up, his gaze firm.

He was no longer the "three-yellow chicken" played by fate; he would become a true football legend.
