Looking at Loki lying on the ground, he looked like a bullied girl who'd lost all hope in life. Bant could only say one thing.
It felt good!
So damn good!
To be honest, Bant had always liked Loki as a character. But at this stage, Loki really needed to be taught a lesson. A naughty brat won't listen? Fine. Beat him once and he'll behave.
"How dare you…"
"How dare you show disrespect to the King of Gods!"
Loki crawled up, covered in dust and filth. He was shaking with rage, and the look he gave Bant carried a hint of madness.
"You really think you're the King of Gods, Loki?" Bant sneered. He clasped his hands together, his knuckles cracking loudly. After becoming a Tetramand, he couldn't help being affected by the genes, getting more aggressive.
Loki was nothing. Right now, Bant craved a stronger enemy.
He even had a very bold plan forming in his head.
If it succeeded, Loki and Thor's genes wouldn't even matter. He could get hundreds of different alien gene samples in one go, and he might even be able to build a Tiangong Guild headquarters for real.
Thinking that, he leapt forward and threw a punch.
Boom!
It was like the air itself was shattered by the power of that punch.
The shockwave kicked up sand and dust, making the ground tremble.
Bant smashed Loki straight into the dirt, then planted his feet on Loki's hands to stop him from slipping away. His mountain-like body bent down, yellow eyes locking onto Loki.
That overwhelming pressure made Loki's face change instantly. Fear surged up.
"Wait, wai…"
But Bant wasn't going to listen to his nonsense. His four arms dropped like sledgehammers, raining down in an instant like a violent storm.
Thud!
Thud!
Thud!
Bant's fists moved so fast they left only a crimson blur. Between throwing and retracting his punches, the speed was enough to whip up a gale.
Each punch felt like a machine weighing tens of thousands of tons smashing down toward the earth's core, or a missile detonating. The shockwaves rolled across the open wilderness, only weakening after traveling more than ten miles.
Even people in the small town fifty miles away started getting nervous, thinking an earthquake had hit.
The people who had remained at the base were instantly blown away by the shockwaves, flung like plastic bags in a storm.
Seeing his brother being beaten, Thor was frantic inside, but at this moment, he could do nothing. Even if he tried to beg for Loki, his voice was swallowed by the explosive roar of the punches.
He was like a traveler trying to advance into a sandstorm, unable to even get close to the center.
At this moment, a crushing sense of helplessness wrapped around Thor completely.
A few minutes later, Bant's punches finally slowed. Under that barrage, the ground beneath his feet had collapsed several meters. Inside the crater where Mjolnir had landed, a smaller but deeper pit had appeared.
And in that pit, Loki lay motionless, like he was lying in his own grave.
He wasn't dead, of course.
Asgardian physiques were unbelievably tough. Loki wasn't an Asgardian, but he held divine status. Long story short, he had one trait.
He could take a beating.
Still, Bant worried he might accidentally kill him, so he stopped.
If Loki really died, who knew whether Odin would interrupt his Odin Sleep and come down to fight him to the death?
Everyone knew how terrifying Odin was when he had conquered the Nine Realms. And as he grew older, even though his sleeping periods became longer, his divine power only grew stronger.
In Asgardian lore, the older they are, the stronger they become.
Not to mention Asgard had countless powerful treasures, including the Destroyer Armor, something that could contend with the Celestials.
If Odin truly descended wearing the Destroyer, Bant really wouldn't be able to handle it.
In fact, if the Omnitrix couldn't roll a different alien hero, then even Odin in his base state was already someone Bant couldn't fight.
After pulling back his fists, Bant lowered his head for a look.
Loki had long since lost all dignity.
While being beaten, he had switched into his Asgardian armor, hoping it could block some hits. But now, the armor was cracked open, and one of the antlers on his helmet had snapped off.
Seeing Bant stop, Loki didn't hesitate for even a second. Using his last bit of strength, he cast an illusion and fled in panic.
Truthfully, even if Loki hadn't used an illusion, Bant wouldn't have stopped him from escaping.
First, that punch storm had already made Loki bleed. The blood on Bant's fists was enough for the Omnitrix to collect Frost Giant genes.
Second, if Loki didn't run, how would the Destroyer come out?
If Odin came down in the Destroyer, Bant would run as far as he could. If that still wasn't enough, he would hide in Kamar-Taj and let the Ancient One send him to the Dark Dimension, then use Ghostfreak to drain Dormammu's power and come back.
But Loki?
All Bant could say was, thank you for nature's gift.
A Destroyer falling from the sky belongs to whoever picks it up.
What, Odin wants it back?
Sorry, Bant would say the armor can't be taken off once it's worn, and it even hits people. If you don't believe it, go ahead and try.
Of course, Bant wasn't sure whether wearing the Destroyer would let him beat Odin.
But Odin now wasn't the hot-tempered man he used to be. There was a good chance he wouldn't even care where the Destroyer ended up.
With Loki fleeing in panic, the area finally fell quiet.
Bant turned and left the scene.
When Coulson realized everything had calmed down, he raised his head. Fine red sand had already coated his whole body.
It was like he'd been buried in dirt, then stood up after finishing hibernation. He dusted himself off and coughed a few times.
Then he looked at the temporary base, now buried in sand and completely unrecognizable, and for a moment he felt dazed.
"Captain!"
Only after a while did he remember. Captain America had been thrown far away and still hadn't returned.
Steve was actually fine.
It was just that his shield wasn't within reach. When he hit the ground, he'd banged his head and gotten slightly dizzy. Then the shockwaves from Bant's punches made it hard for him to move, which was why he couldn't get back in time.
Now, clutching his waist, Steve panted with difficulty. "This world has changed too much."
Coulson licked his dry lips and nodded as well.
"Yeah."
Meanwhile.
In a small town fifty miles east of the crater, Bant bought a huge drink and a Big Mac, then left the diner.
The townspeople were all talking about the earlier rumbling. Many thought the military must have bombed something again.
Bant quickly stuffed the burger into his mouth in one go, washed it down with cola, then turned into a deserted corner.
Then he twisted the watch core, and it turned yellow.
