"I'll pay for your divorce, and then you just have to marry me. That way you won't have to worry about making reckless decisions for money," he explained proudly, like he had just solved world peace. He really said it as if everything he was saying made perfect, logical sense.
I stared at him, speechless.
I swear—rich people! They really think they can buy anything with money. And the worst part? They're usually not wrong. But hearing it said so casually, right in front of my face, was still unbelievably infuriating.
Not everything in the world can be bought… right? Bullshit.

A short beep suddenly echoed through the room, sharp enough that both of us automatically turned our heads toward the door. Kaizer stood up, brushing imaginary dust from his pants.
