However, the Legion's commander, Lord Arcturus, had other plans for Zen. He was to be sent to the prestigious Argentum Academy, a renowned institution for training the finest warriors in the realm.
As Zen stood before Lord Arcturus, he felt a mix of excitement and trepidation. The academy was said to be a place where the strongest minds and bodies were honed, where future leaders and legends were forged.
"Zen Blackthorn, you have shown exceptional potential," Lord Arcturus said, his voice firm but with a hint of approval. "The Argentum Academy will help you master your skills and unlock your true potential. You will represent the Ashen Legion with honor and distinction."
With that, Zen was dispatched to the academy, leaving behind the familiarity of the battlefield. As he arrived at the academy's grand entrance, he felt a sense of awe at the sprawling campus and the sheer number of talented students.
Upon registering, Zen was given a schedule and a map of the academy. He was to meet his mentor, Archon Vex, a renowned warrior and instructor, in the central courtyard.
As Zen made his way to the courtyard, he noticed a girl with piercing blue eyes and raven-black hair watching him from across the crowd. She was stunningly beautiful, but her gaze was piercing, as if sizing him up.
Zen felt a shiver run down his spine. Who was this mysterious girl?
Just then, a voice boomed from the center of the courtyard. "Welcome, first-year students! I am Archon Vex, your mentor and guide in the ways of combat. Let us begin your training!"
The students cheered, and Zen joined in, his eyes locking onto the girl with the piercing blue eyes. She was standing a few feet away, a hint of a smile on her lips.
"Looks like we're going to be in this together," she said, her voice husky and confident. "I'm Alice Razon. And you are...?"
Zen's heart skipped a beat as he replied, "Zen Blackthorn. Nice to meet you, Alice."
Little did he know, their meeting would change the course of his life forever.
