Chapter 1 - Chapter 1 – Awakening

Darkness. Silence. A suffocating void.

Then—pain.

A thunderbolt of agony ripped through his head as if someone had driven a spike straight into his brain. Alex jerked awake, eyes wide, lungs desperately dragging in air. His body trembled like a wounded animal thrown into the cold.

Thump-thump—thump-thump!

His heart hammered wildly, rattling inside his chest like it wanted to break free. Breath came in broken gasps; cold sweat soaked his shirt, sticking it to trembling skin.

Where… where am I?

His vision was blurry, spinning, as though the world itself was trying to throw him off.

A ceiling. Unknown. A quiet room. The smell of old wood and medicine. A soft blanket covers his body. Not a hospital. Not home. Not—

Home.

His life—his previous life—returned in jagged fragments.

The dashboard light in his taxi was flickering. The empty road at midnight after a tiring shift. The sudden blinding headlights from the opposite lane. The piercing scream of brakes. The violent crash— The sound of glass and steel crushing his bones.

And then…void.

"So I… really died." His whisper trembled, barely audible. His chest tightened. Fear, disbelief, grief—all stormed him at once.

A life of hard work. Struggles. Small dreams. Gone.

"Ahhhh—!"

A fresh wave of pain seized him before he could even grieve. It wasn't physical pain—no, this felt deeper, like his soul was being torn apart.

Memories—foreign, heavy, overwhelming—crashed into him like a tsunami.

Crimson skies torn by dimensional rifts. Massive towers of silver and black pierce the heavens. Warriors clad in glowing armor wielding impossible powers. Thunderous roars of beasts lurking in incomprehensible darkness. A cold voice echoing in his mind—Alex.

He clutched his skull, teeth grinding, veins bulging in his neck, his body convulsing under the storm of foreign thoughts and emotions.

He didn't know how long he suffered—minutes, hours, or eternity.

Then—silence.

The torrent of pain faded like a storm losing strength. His breath slowed. His trembling stopped. And slowly… clarity returned.

The body's owner's name is also Alex

Two memories. Two lives. One body.

His name here… was Alex Gray. Eighteen years old. Orphan. Lonely. Quiet. Forgotten by the world.

But the world he opened his eyes to—this was not Earth.

It looked like Earth, yes—blue skies, oxygen, cities, humans. But it wasn't Earth.

This world was Verona.

Fifty years ago, something shattered the universe's limits.

Not aliens. Not gods.

Dimensions.

Colossal dimensions gate open reality, followed by countless smaller pocket realms like wounds in existence.

From those cracks… they came.

Monsters of fang and scale. Shadow and flame. Wendigos with eyes like burning coal. Serpent-dragons slithering through shattered buildings. Armored beasts born from pure spiritual energy.

Humanity wasn't prepared.

500 million died in the first decade. Cities vanished overnight. Continents trembled. Hope almost collapsed.

Until humanity awakened.

Spiritual energy seeped into the world, awakening latent potential—strength, speed, psychic power, elemental control, unique abilities born from soul resonance.

People who awakened powers became Awakeners.

Hunters. Guardians. Explorers of dimensions. The Warriors stand between civilization and extinction.

Some soared to godlike heights. Others died as nameless corpses on battlefield ruins.

Alex—sat slowly, breath steadying. The weight of two lives settled over him like a new skin.

He looked at his hands. Younger, smoother, yet calloused from the training Logan had done. A faint scar across the knuckles. Stronger than

Alex, the old taxi driver, hands.

A new chance. A dangerous world. A future forged in power and blood.

Alex exhaled.

"So… this is the world I've been thrown into," he murmured. His voice was steadier now, a mixture of fear, confusion—and something fierce.

Determination.

He felt it burning in his chest, stronger than any fear.

"A brutal world filled with monsters and awakened warriors."

He clenched his fists, knuckles whitening.

"And I'm no longer powerless."

In his veins—spiritual energy pulsed faintly. A spark. Weak now, but present. Potential waiting to ignite.

Veer had been an ordinary driver. Someone who survived each day quietly.

But here?

Here, he could rise.

A faint smile touched his lips—not of arrogance, but resolve.

"If fate has given me a second life…"

His eyes hardened like tempered steel.

"…then I'll climb to the top of this world."

For the first time since reincarnating, the room felt bright. The air felt lighter. His heart beat not from panic—but purpose.

A new life.

A new name.

A world filled with beasts and legends.

And he would carve his place in it.

Alex Gray—sat upright, gaze sharp, voice steady as stone.

"I will survive. I will grow. I will become stronger."

A chilling roar echoed faintly outside the window—some distant beast. A reminder that this world did not offer mercy.

"Why does this kind of dangerous world ..!

I went to leave my normal life "

Aahhh, forget about it, let's begin a new journey.
