Chapter 1 - Saving ace Begins's

You know, growing up watching anime always brought me joy. It always kept me company when I was alone.

It's really fun to watch anime — until one of your favorite characters dies.

I've experienced that too. When you like a character so much, their death feels like someone you've known for a long time is gone. And I know many of you feel the same way.

That's why…

I'm Shaan — wearing a brown suit and holding the ultimate power to save the characters we all love. I mean, I'm going to save every character that dies in anime and manga.

Some of you might argue, "Death is important for story progression," blah blah. Hey, I don't give a sh*t about that. I just want my favorite characters to be alive and happy.

That's why I'm here — to start this beautiful journey in Marineford, One Piece.

---

The war is raging, and Ace and Luffy are running toward the ship.

You can already guess who I'm going to save. Yeah, you're right — our favorite brother Ace, and our favorite father, Whitebeard.

But before we start, you might be wondering how I got here or how I have ultimate powers, right?

Well, since this is a fanfic, I'm not telling you that. I'm already tired of writing, and you expect me to give a long explanation? No chance.

---

Shaan watches Ace and Luffy running toward the ship.

They're still running toward the ship, bro. It's already been one episode — no wonder they say the pacing sucks in One Piece.

Suddenly, Shaan notices Akainu starting to talk.

Oh no, it's starting. I have to hurry!

He jumps off the ice cliff, screaming,

"I'm coming to save you, Aceeee!!"

The freezing wind slashes against his face as he dives, the entire battlefield below a blur of smoke and gunfire.

A loud crash follows. Shaan hits the ground hard, cracking the ice beneath him.

"Ohh, that's so cool! I feel like an anime character now!"

Suddenly, he notices someone in front of him.

"Another idiot like Strawhat…"

Mihawk!!! Oh my god, it's really Mihawk — the strongest swordsman!

Shaan looks nervous and slightly afraid.

"Hey Mihawk! What are you looking at? Wanna fight?"

He draws his sword through thin air. Mihawk's expression doesn't even change.

Oh no… I got carried away.

Shaan glances past him and spots Ace walking toward Akainu.

Oh no, I don't have time! I have to go!

"That's quite a trick you've got there, but I have no interest in fighting you," Mihawk says coldly, his face unreadable.

Shaan exhales in relief.

Ohh, bro, so nonchalant.

He smiles.

"Hey, I wanna ask one question — that black sword of yours, did it turn that color on its own, or did you paint it?"

Mihawk stares silently.

"Ohh, sorry, shouldn't have asked."

Shaan starts running.

"Thanks, Mihawk! Good luck with Zoro fight"

Mihawk turns toward him.

"Is he a Strawhat ally?" he wonders.

---

Shaan keeps running, watching the chaos unfold between Marines and pirates.

All this for one person… but in the end, it all goes for nothing. That idiot Ace…

He's getting closer.

Ohh, I'm finally here—

Suddenly, a shockwave hits him — the air itself bursting apart. Shaan crashes into the ground, ice scattering around him.

Oh my god… what is this time— ohh, it's Crocodile!

Crocodile opens his eyes.

"Crocodile, it's yo—"

Before Shaan can finish, Crocodile rises, brushing dust from his coat.

"Play elsewhere, kid."

He turns into sand and disappears.

He's the one who hit me first… but damn, his voice is so cool. It's like that deep 'Sasaboori, Mugiwara' vibe.

---

Suddenly, the battlefield grows quieter. Not really — but to Shaan, everything feels muffled.

He knows what scene is coming next.

Ace… no.

A loud impact follows. Shaan looks up.

Ace is sent flying by Akainu's punch.

"Are you careless just because you're a Logia type? You're just fire. My magma can burn even fire! My power is far stronger than yours!" Akainu shouts furiously.

Ace stumbles. Luffy kneels on the ground, dropping Ace's vivre card.

"Hey Luffy, you shouldn't fight anymore," Jinbe says.

"Ace's vivre card…" Luffy tries to grab it.

"Gol D. Roger, the Pirate King. Dragon, the Revolutionary. I was amazed to hear that the sons of those two are stepbrothers. You two have bad blood in your veins. I don't care if the others escape — as long as I get you two! Watch what I do…"

Akainu glares at Luffy.

"Wait!!" Ace screams.

Akainu jumps toward Luffy, magma swirling around his fist.

Suddenly, Ace appears in front of him.

"I will never allow this to happen again!"

Akainu looks shocked — as do Ace and Luffy.

Shaan stands between them, sword drawn, blocking Akainu's attack.

Everyone on the battlefield freezes.

For the first time in my life, I'm happy One Piece has pacing issues.

Akainu glares at him.

"Who the hell are you?"

Shaan smiles.
