The long-lost sensation of becoming stronger washed over Masahiko again. He let out a long sigh of relief, feeling incredibly exhilarated inside. This was the first skill he had trained to Level 9 entirely on his own.

Masahiko paused and looked over with a smile.
Walking towards him was Masahiko's fifth disciple, Konan. Two months had passed since Masahiko brought her back. She was no longer the "little beggar" she was before; her clothes were much more refined, making her features look even more delicate. Although she wasn't an Uzumaki clansman, having been accepted as a disciple by Masahiko, she naturally became the Little Princess of the Land of Whirlpools.
"What is it? Did you encounter any problems in your training? Could Nagato-kun not solve it?" Masahiko asked with a smile.
For the past two months, Masahiko had taught Konan some basic knowledge of cultivation, and then threw her to Nagato-kun. It wasn't that Masahiko didn't care, but rather that the initial stages, like chakra refining and the Three Body Technique, relied on grinding and time. He hadn't watched over Nagato-kun daily back then either.
"No, Sensei." Konan shook her head and pulled a paper flower from her hair.
Masahiko paused. He had felt Konan looked a bit different today; it turned out she was wearing a paper flower in her hair.
"That's right, Konan is a paper style ninja or something," Masahiko muttered.
"Sensei, look." Konan focused her chakra slightly, and the paper flower in her hand slowly unfolded, turning into several sheets of paper.
"Oh?" Masahiko looked interested. He had seen a lot over the years, but he had never heard of such a peculiar jutsu.
"Can you fold it back?" Masahiko fully activated his perception, wanting to investigate the truth behind the Paper Release.
Konan nodded, her expression becoming much more serious. The fully unfolded paper in her hand folded back up again.
"Chakra mutation?" Masahiko frowned. He only sensed Earth attribute fluctuations on the paper; it wasn't a Kekkei Genkai.
"It should be like Kushina-kun naturally suppressing Tailed Beasts—possessing a special mutated chakra." Masahiko smiled and didn't mind too much. Although Paper Release was special, compared to ordinary Earth Release, its advantage lay mostly in novelty and unpredictability.
"Sensei, I can also add another type of chakra," Konan said, stunning Masahiko.
"Then add it in and let me see. If you add another type, it becomes a Kekkei Genkai." Masahiko perked up again.
Konan hesitated. "If I add it in, it will explode..."
"Oh?" Masahiko raised an eyebrow, remembering that Konan had dual attributes of Fire and Earth. Adding another naturally meant adding the Fire attribute.
"Paper exploding when meeting fire... the Naruto world really isn't scientific!"
"It's fine. Just throw the exploding paper at me."
Konan did as told. A piece of paper drifted erratically toward Masahiko.
Masahiko used Sealing Jutsu to casually create a pale blue crystal—a miniature version of the Four Violet Flames Formation. Although smaller in size, its defensive power wasn't reduced; Masahiko didn't think this defense would be insufficient. The small Four Violet Flames Formation encased the paper, and Masahiko pressed his hands against the sides, wanting to feel the power.
An explosion sounded, and Masahiko's hands trembled simultaneously.
"Power close to an explosive tag? Pretty good..." Masahiko muttered, then his expression suddenly changed.
"If that's the case, isn't Konan a ready-made explosive tag production machine?"
"Konan, do you have any way to make the paper infused with Fire Release chakra not explode temporarily?" Masahiko asked.
Konan nodded. "But I can't maintain it for long. I can only hold it for about ten minutes."

Konan relaxed her control, and sure enough, the paper didn't explode.
"It really works!" Masahiko could hardly hide his excitement. As long as he added a formula to the paper that would unseal it upon chakra injection, it would be a ready-made explosive tag. Any member of the Uzumaki Sealing Squad could do this easily.
"This cost is way lower than regular explosive tags!" Masahiko sighed with emotion, feeling that the Land of Whirlpools had suddenly become wealthy. When he looked at Konan again, his eyes practically sparkled like diamonds.
"Konan's strength isn't enough yet; she's far from mass-producing these explosive tags..." Masahiko calmed his excitement.
"Besides that, this ability must be kept secret. It's too important for a nation. It's like I accepted a God of Wealth as a disciple."

"Don't use this exploding paper jutsu lightly. Keep it as a trump card so you can successfully ambush enemies in the future." Masahiko instructed. Seeing Konan nod, he continued, "Let's go. We'll head to the training ground together. I want to check on your and Nagato-kun's progress."
The sudden wealth of the Land of Whirlpools put Masahiko in a great mood; he felt like he was floating as he walked.
