Although Masahiko had watched the series, he wasn't completely clear on every combination. He remembered Water + Earth = Wood Release. But even if he fused Wood Release, without enough Yang chakra, he'd just be another Captain Yamato—not very useful.
Masahiko glanced at his status window again.
Wind and Earth? Mud Release? Too unreliable.
Wind and Fire? That sounds reasonable. Wind fans the flames.
Wind and Lightning? Isn't there a Swift Release in the plot?
Wind and Water? Ah, that seems to be Ice Release. Could be worth considering.

"Furthermore..." Masahiko formed hand seals. "Scorch Release: Extremely Steaming Murder!"
Looking at his fireballs, even Masahiko felt a chill.
"A jutsu that can instantly evaporate all the moisture in a human body? It's too dangerous. Better use it sparingly."
For the next half hour, Masahiko thoroughly tested his new bloodline limit. The results satisfied him greatly.
It was a jutsu capable of both offense and defense. Having several small fireballs orbit him was very convenient when combined with Taijutsu.
After the test, Masahiko dismantled the Scorch Release fusion. Suddenly, he had an idea.
He had just fused Wind into Fire. What would happen if he fused Fire into Wind?
He acted immediately. The result was a huge surprise.

Dark Release only appeared in the Naruto movie Will of Fire. It was used by the villain Hiruko, giving Naruto a lot of trouble.
In his memory, Dark Release had the ability to absorb ninjutsu and release blue flames. If not for its absorption limit, it was almost more powerful than the Rinnegan's Preta Path.

Masahiko smiled with satisfaction. The clone formed seals again. "Fire Release: Great Fireball Technique!"
"Dark Release: Inhaling Maw!" The marks on his hands emitted a powerful suction force, completely absorbing the fireball.
Masahiko thrust his hands forward. "Dark Release: Judgment!" The two jutsu he had just absorbed were converted into pale blue flames that shot back at the clone.
"Earth Release: Earth-Style Wall!" The clone quickly defended, but the flames instantly punched through the wall and hit the clone.
Masahiko nodded. "Good power." Suddenly, his mouth twitched. The clone's memory returned to him. He had hurt himself...
One round of adding points, and he had gained two Kekkei Genkai. Masahiko was very satisfied with this harvest. Whether Scorch Release or Dark Release, both greatly enhanced his offensive capabilities. As for defense, with the god-tier Shuriken Substitution Jutsu, he didn't need anything else for now.
Masahiko looked at his Witness Points. He had 10 left. He gritted his teeth and added 9 points to Lightning Release, preparing to develop Chidori and Raikiri.
