Chapter 1 - Chapter 1

Aliza Sinclair stood in front of the mirror, adjusting the collar of her crisp white blouse. Her long brunette hair, rich like melted chocolate, cascaded down her back in soft waves, swaying slightly as she applied the thinnest layer of foundation. But was that even necessary? Her skin was already radiant, her features naturally striking. Aliza was a beauty, but she was also more than just a pretty face—she was sharp, and ambitious.

Aliza was truly exquisite—so beautiful, in fact, that the very word beautiful seemed insufficient to describe her. Her fair, porcelain skin looked irresistibly soft and supple, while her large, expressive eyes shimmered with excitement .

Tonight, however, wasn't about work. Tonight was about excitement, adrenaline, and something she had been looking forward to all week. As she fastened the delicate gold chain around her neck, she let out a small squeal, unable to contain her enthusiasm.

Her outfit was effortlessly stylish—a black tennis skirt that hugged her figure just right, paired with a sleek white blouse that exuded casual sophistication. With a final glance at her reflection, she grabbed her purse and turned toward the closed door of her roommate's bedroom.

"Demi!" she called out, tapping her foot impatiently. "Are you ever going to come out? We're going to be late!"

A muffled groan came from the other side of the door, followed by the sound of shuffling. "I'm coming, I'm coming! Gosh, why are you so hyped up for an ice hockey match?"

Aliza gasped dramatically. "What the hell, Demi? Some country? It's our country! And to top it all off, the captain looks so hot!"

She clutched her heart as if Demi's words had physically wounded her.

Demi Blossom ,finally emerged from her room, rolling her eyes as she adjusted her oversized sweater. Her wavy auburn hair was lazily pulled into a messy bun, and she gave Aliza an unimpressed look. "Let me guess—you don't even care about hockey, do you? You just want to drool over the captain while pretending to be a hardcore sports fan."

Aliza smirked, crossing her arms. "Excuse me, I do care about hockey. I've been following the games!"

Demi scoffed. "Oh really? Name three players other than the captain."

Aliza blinked. "Uhh..." She quickly grabbed her phone, pretending to check a text. "Oh! We're going to miss the subway if we don't leave now!"

Demi laughed as Aliza grabbed her arm and dragged her toward the door. "That's what I thought," she teased.

The streets buzzed with their usual energy, bright lights reflecting off the wet pavement from an earlier drizzle. The crisp night air carried the distant sound of honking taxis and chatter from busy sidewalks. Aliza, practically bouncing on her feet, tugged Demi toward the subway entrance

"I swear, Aliza, if we're doing all this just because you have a crush on some hockey player...

Aliza grinned mischievously. "Correction—not just some hockey player. The captain. And tonight, I'm going to see him in action."

Demi shook her head but couldn't help smiling. "You're impossible."

As they rushed down the subway stairs, the excitement of the night ahead crackled in the air, promising a game filled with thrill, drama—and maybe, just maybe, a chance for Aliza to witness her crush score more than just goals on the ice.

_

Aliza had scored the ultimate VIP experience, securing an exclusive spot at the stadium with a prime view of the field—she was on cloud nine, knowing she'd have the best view of her favorite player, the captain, Jade Julian.

With her excitement reaching peak levels, she dove into a mountain of snacks, happily munching away like a kid in a candy store. As she sat there, eyes glued to the field, she even appeared on the "look-alike" cam and grinned like a total fangirl, waving at the giant screen as her heart raced.

Her eyes flickered with joy as she awaited the arrival of the team. The moment the team walked onto the field, the crowd erupted in cheers, and Aliza, not one to hold back, joined in enthusiastically, shouting, "Jade Julian! I love youuuu! You're the best captain!" along with all the other hyped-up fans around her.

But then, as the initial excitement died down and Aliza pulled out her camera to snap some pics of her hot captain, Demi—her fellow fangirl—turned to her with a mischievous grin.

"Aliza ! Don't you think player no. 7 is the hottest of them all?!" Demi, who had been kinda bored up until that moment, suddenly sparked with new energy.

Aliza blinked, completely stunned. "What? Who's player 7? Nah, it's definitely the captain who's the hottest,!" She was practically ready to argue the point to the death, convinced that Jade Julian was the undisputed king of this stadium.

But Demi wasn't having any of it. "Are you serious??!" she exclaimed in disbelief, as the whole crowd around them began chanting for player 7, and Aliza's gaze shifted to the field.

"Who's K?" she thought, seeing all the fans getting hyped for the mysterious player. Demi, quick to seize the opportunity, whipped out her phone and began frantically searching for information on player no. 7. "look! Player no. 7 is the Ace and prodigy of the team, and he's the best-looking one!"

she said, eyes sparkling as she nudged Lisa excitedly, showing her all the pictures on her screen.

Aliza, however, was not about to be swayed. "What kind of nonsense is this?" she scoffed, rolling her eyes dramatically before turning her attention right back to Jade Julian ."Jade! I love you! Jade, marry me!" she shouted once more, as if the whole stadium needed to hear it—her heart set on the captain no matter what.

Meanwhile, Demi was over there still fangirling about player no. 7, and the whole scene felt like a hilarious tug-of-war between two besties with wildly different opinions on who was the hottest on the field. The rivalry was real, but the love for their players? Unbeatable!
