Chapter 63 - Chapter 63 Drive Him Away Or Let Him In?

As Sargeras pushed open the door, a rich aroma of meat wafted out, instantly brightening his eyes.

It was different from the smell of roasted meat, and different from the smell of boiled meat. This aroma was more intense, more enticing. He wondered what spices had been added, and what cooking method had been used to produce such an irresistible fragrance, making him involuntarily swallow.

He didn't care much about the restaurant's decor; he found anything too flashy to be off-putting. This restaurant was rather simple, but he paused for a moment when his gaze fell on the mural of the Undead Island on the wall.

This was the first time he had seen murals of the Demon Island in a restaurant run by humans. The walls also depicted the capital of the Los Empire, the Wind Forest of the Elves, and other locations. Glancing at Mai Ge, who was dressed simply in black and white, he realized the restaurant owner was a worldly person.

"But will this owner serve me?" Sargeras couldn't help but stop in his tracks.

Mai Ge was also observing Sargeras. These days, when he went out, he would occasionally see some demons. The demon race was very mixed, with all sorts of strange appearances, some with grass growing on their heads, some with fire burning on their heads... In short, the most abnormal-looking ones were demons.

Of course, succubus was an exception. Yesterday, when he went out to buy goat milk, he saw a succubus girl with a rather attractive appearance and voice, exuding a mature and sophisticated aura. She was incredibly domineering in haggling with the stall owner, managing to get a bag of cucumbers originally priced at 15 copper coins down to 5 copper coins in just a few words, and even threw in a bunch of scallions, which impressed him greatly.

However, this was the first demon to enter the restaurant. This demon was extremely tall, even a head taller than the Ha Beng and his brother, though his appearance was similar to that of a human.

His eyes were dark red, and on his bald head, dark red lava-like lines spread downwards from the top of his head, down his face, neck, and even his hands, like tattoos, making him look somewhat frightening.

He was dressed in a slightly worn black outfit, and the soles of his leather boots were worn down to the last bit, indicating that they had accompanied him on many journeys. What was even more eye-catching was the bright red cloak tied around his shoulders, hanging down to just below his waist. The vivid red color made the cloak look as if it was on fire.

Humans who had lived in the Chaos City for a long time didn't have a particularly strong fear of demons. After all, they saw all sorts of races everyday, and having a few demons as neighbors was normal.

However, most humans still don't like to sit and eat with races like demons and forest trolls, which are too oppressive. They don't even dare to speak loudly, and the meal can be quite stifling.

Therefore, many restaurants run by humans will deliberately separate humans from races such as demons and forest trolls for dining, or directly state at the restaurant entrance that they do not accept guests of these two races.

Restaurants run by elves will reserve the most comfortable seats for elf guests and refuse entry to dwarves, demons, and forest trolls.

All the customers in the restaurant looked at Mai Ge. Apart from Mo Bai, all the customers in the restaurant were human, and there didn't seem to be a special area set up for demons, so everyone was curious about what Mai Ge would do.

Of course, the ideal scenario for them would be not to receive him at all. Mai Ge is also human, so the possibility of doing so is quite high.

"Drive this demon away?" Mai Ge naturally saw their thoughts in their eyes.

However, how could that be possible!

He was still hoping to one day extract some treasures from the dragons; the demon was just the beginning.

Since everyone is a guest, he naturally treats them all equally, and he doesn't engage in racial discrimination.

"Host, this system suggests that, to improve the dining experience, refusing entry to some customers is a good option. Alternatively, the restaurant could be divided into zones, separating dangerous races from weaker races, allowing them to dine in designated areas to avoid conflict." The system's voice sounded, tinged with sincerity.

"System, can the number of 1000 customers who enter the restaurant be halved?" Mai Ge asked calmly.

"The mission has been issued and cannot be changed! Host, please show more respect for the missions issued by this system, otherwise, a hidden mission may be triggered again!" the system said somewhat seriously.

"So, you want me to turn away half the customers? Do you think I'm stupid?" Mai Ge scoffed.

"..." An ellipsis appeared in the system.

"Also, will you expand the restaurant for me?" Mai Ge countered.

"The system's modifications to the restaurant are limited to the land provided by the host. The modifications are now complete, and there is no expansion permission in the short term." the system replied.

"For such a small restaurant, you still want me to divide it into sections? If it's one section per race, and there are sixteen tables in total, are you planning to have me divide it into two tables for each race, and then label them as elves, demons, humans... like that? System, is this how your chef god runs a restaurant?" Mai Ge's words were tinged with sarcasm.

"..." The system fell silent, no longer speaking.

Seeing the system stop its rambling, Mai Ge didn't say anything more. Not designating a specific area, not prohibiting other races from entering—the most important thing was his grand plan to eliminate racial discrimination. Amy's current half-elf status placed her in a discriminatory position, something he couldn't tolerate.

Street protests wouldn't work in this world. Influencing the restaurant's customers was a better option. So, he smiled at the lava demon and said, "Welcome, please take a seat randomly."

The restaurant's customers glanced at Mai Ge with some surprise. They had expected him to refuse to let the demon dine, since most of the customers in the restaurant these days were humans.

But unexpectedly, Mai Ge not only didn't refuse, but it even seemed he wasn't planning to designate a special area for the demon, but rather let him sit anywhere? Wouldn't that mean they had to sit next to the demon, or even at the same table?

Thinking of this, many guests became a little nervous. Although the behavior of all races in the Chaos City was restricted by the Gray Temple, even ordinary humans could live peacefully here.

Even when humans live together, various disputes arise, let alone in the Chaos City. Humans are generally the weaker party, so it is not uncommon for humans to be killed by demons, trolls, or orcs, which naturally causes some resentment.

However, looking at the still fragrant Rou Jia Mo in their hands, and then at Sargeras, they hesitated for a moment, but ultimately decided to continue eating.

Whatever, with such delicious Rou Jia Mo to eat, they'd gladly sit at the same table as a dragon!
