"Yes, we launched a new product today. The customers who subscribed to the crowdfunding campaign can all try the new product in advance today." Mai Ge smiled and nodded as he looked at Mo Bai who came in.
"Okay, although my favorite is still Yang Zhou Fried Rice, it would be a shame to miss out on Boss Mai's new product. I'll have one Yang Zhou Fried Rice and one of the new product this morning." Mo Bai sat down at his usual spot, smiling at Amy again, "Good morning, little boss."
"Okay, please wait a moment." Mai Ge nodded and turned to go into the kitchen.
"Good morning, Dwarf Grandpa Mo Bai." Amy nodded, watching Luna's retreating figure through the transparent window, replying without turning her head.
"Little Boss Amy, I have a small request. Could you please remove the word 'Dwarf' from the beginning of my name?" Mo Bai tried to soften his voice as much as possible.
Amy watched Luna disappear from sight, then turned to Mo Bai and nodded, saying, "Okay, Dwarf Grandpa Mo Bai."
"..." Mo Bai felt like he was choking, but looking at the innocent expression on Amy's face, he couldn't doubt that she was doing it on purpose. What could he do? Sigh, whatever. He's a dwarf and had given up anyway.
Luna, holding a Rou Jia Mo, hurried towards the exit of Aden Square. Chaos Academy was not far from Aden Square, but the square was so vast that even without using the crescent-shaped streets, it would take more than ten minutes to quickly cross it.
The aroma of braised meat wafted into her nose, and Luna had lost count of how many times she had swallowed. Even though she usually disliked meat and mostly ate vegetarian food, she couldn't resist taking a bite of the Rou Jia Mo.
"Take a bite, just to try it?" Finally, Luna couldn't resist stopping under a big tree. She looked around to make sure no one was there, then held the bag in both hands, pushed the Rou Jia Mo up a little, and took a bite from the middle.
Two layers of soft, sweet Bai Ji Mo sandwiched tender braised pork. One bite, and the delicious juices burst forth, every taste bud on tongue seeming to rejoice and leap with delight. She can't help but close her eyes. After swallowing, the delicious flavor seems almost frenzied, racing through her bloodstream, as comforting as a hot bath.
Luna glanced around furtively. Luckily, no one was nearby, and no one noticed her flushed face. Looking at the Rou Jia Mo in her hand, her expression suddenly became conflicted.
This Rou Jia Mo was incredibly delicious, but she wondered what it was made of. Eating it gave her a feeling of her blood boiling.
She was now somewhat glad she hadn't eaten this Rou Jia Mo in the restaurant. If she had been this blushing in front of Mai Ge, she probably would have wanted to disappear into the ground.
"To eat or not to eat?" Luna hesitated. The restlessness in her blood had slowly turned into a regular tide. The initial discomfort was gone. Combined with the muscle relaxation brought about by the Yang Zhou Fried Rice she had eaten earlier, her whole vitality seemed to be awakened.
However, her cheeks were still flushed and slightly hot. If this feeling intensified after eating, her cheeks might stay red all morning.
The enticing aroma wafted over, her mind filled with the ultimate experience of that first bite. Her hand, holding the Rou Jia Mo, unconsciously moved upwards, and finally, she couldn't resist taking a bite.
"Never mind! This taste... I'll just blush, it seems pretty hot today anyway..." Luna thought to herself, holding the Rou Jia Mo in both hands and eating it, completely immersed in the deliciousness of the Rou Jia Mo.
"So delicious." Luna looked at the empty bag in her hand, licked her slightly oily lips, and exclaimed sincerely.
Today, she tasted the two most delicious dishes of her life, both made by the same man. It was truly an interesting morning.
The restlessness in her blood had gradually subsided after eating, and the flush on her face had faded, as if she had just finished a vigorous workout. Even though she hadn't done anything, her body was already in peak condition, without any of the fatigue of waking up early.
"What amazing food! Is he a powerful magician? To imbue food with such magical abilities, he must be a genius." Feeling the changes in her body, Luna speculated to herself. Just as she was about to find a place to throw away the bag, her gaze fell on the back of the little girl behind it, and she froze.
She naturally recognized it as Amy's back. Painting some kind of special mark on items was nothing new in the Chaos City; shops racked their brains to make customers remember their products.
However, no one would use the back of a half-elf girl as a trademark, as it could cause unnecessary trouble.
In any race, there will always be those who discriminate against the combination of two races. They consider themselves superior and believe that those poor half-races are inferior to them.
Mai Ge's use of Amy's back as the restaurant's logo could very well cause him a lot of trouble, as bullying half-races is not uncommon in such chaotic times.
"He's a good father, but I should remind him next time I go to the restaurant; the drawing is quite good." Luna muttered to herself, glancing at the bag to make sure there were no oil stains, then at the portrait of Amy on it, before folding it neatly and putting it in her pocket.
"Oh no, I'm definitely going to be late today." Luna glanced at her watch, her expression changing instantly. Forgetting all about being ladylike and elegant, she lifted her skirt and ran towards the academy.
"Why is Boss Mo a little later than usual today?" Mai Ge brought out a plate of Yang Zhou Fried Rice and placed it in front of Mo Bai, asking with a smile.
"I couldn't figure something out last night, so I overslept this morning. I'm having some Yang Zhou Fried Rice made by Boss Mai to perk me up." Mo Bai picked up a spoon, scooped up a mouthful, chewed a few times, and then looked at Mai Ge, asking, "Boss Mai, I have a question for you. If something could unleash a huge amount of energy in an instant, how could that energy be transformed into a weapon capable of ranged attacks?"
"Gun?" The word immediately popped into Mai Ge's mind. Looking at Mo Bai's furrowed brows, he was somewhat surprised.
