Chapter 46 - Chapter 46 This Is My Daddy

"Beep! The first batch of bags has been completed and delivered. The host will be automatically charged each time when they are used." The system's voice sounded.

Mai Ge looked at the 15 cm long, 20 cm wide, and 20 cm high metal box that appeared next to the oven. Inside, a neat stack of brownish yellow kraft paper bags was stacked. He picked one up; it had the texture of frosted kraft paper. The front center read "La Zhi Rou Jia Mo" in five large characters.

Turning it over, the back had the three large, golden characters "Restaurant Mai Mi" arranged in an arc, below which was a simple black line drawing of a little girl's back.

Although the drawing was sparse, the image of a cute little girl in a skirt, raising one short leg, was vividly depicted. She even had a pair of adorable little pointed ears; it was immediately recognizable as Amy's back.

"System, you drew those little ears very expressively." Mai Ge nodded in satisfaction, glancing back at Amy, who was happily eating her Rou Jia Mo at the table.

He wanted to tell Amy that those little pointy ears wouldn't bring her ridicule, but rather envy and affection.

Let it all begin with the adorable back view on that bag, using the love of this world's foodies to fight against those distorted prejudices, and giving a ray of light to those half-elves who had clearly done nothing wrong.

He believed that sooner or later, many people would remember the back view of this half-elf girl.

"Hmm?" Suddenly, Mai Ge felt a burning sensation surge through his body. Unlike the warm current that relaxed his muscles after eating Yang Zhou Fried Rice, this sensation felt like a chili pepper had been thrown into his bloodstream; his blood seemed to boil.

"System, you didn't put something in the food to get back at me, did you?" Mai Ge asked suspiciously, feeling the inexplicable burning sensation.

"Host, please do not slander this system. All ingredients produced by this system are of the highest quality, non-toxic and harmless, and it is impossible for me to add anything strange to them!" the system replied somewhat seriously.

"Then what's wrong with me? Who gets a burning sensation after eating a Rou Jia Mo?" Mai Ge was still somewhat skeptical, although the burning sensation wasn't uncomfortable; the accelerated blood flow even felt somewhat comfortable after he got used to it, like taking a bath.

"Host had interrupted the ingredient introduction earlier, so you are unaware of the ingredients' characteristics. This system will not take the blame for that." the system replied.

Mai Ge raised an eyebrow, surprised that the system would shift the blame. He thought for a moment and said, "Pork is also in Yang Zhou Fried Rice, so that's fine. Is there something special about the flour?"

"This wheat comes from the territory of the demon race, specifically from the deepest part of the Undead Island, on the Stormy Fog Island, an area devoid of demon activity. This system has specially established a farm there, where the stormy fog is dispelled during the day, providing twelve hours of sunshine. At night, it fully absorbs the stormy factors, resulting in a certain activation effect on the bloodline after consumption. For ordinary humans, it can improve blood circulation; the more ferocious the race, the stronger the effect, but it will not produce any adverse effects." the system replied.

"That's good." Mai Ge nodded, but then thought that selling Rou Jia Mo with this effect might not be a problem.

"Daddy, Little Amy feels... a little hot again..." Amy's voice came from outside.

Mai Ge quickly went outside, but since the system had assured him it would be beneficial and wouldn't cause any adverse effects, he wasn't too panicked. Looking at Amy, whose face was slightly flushed after eating two Rou Jia Mo, he thought for a moment and said, "Little Amy, try casting a fireball spell."

Amy had felt unwell after eating Yang Zhou Fried Rice, and she had used a fireball spell to alleviate it. He just didn't know what effects these stormy factors would have.

"Mmm." Amy nodded obediently, extending her hand and slowly opening it. A ball of blue purple flame appeared in her hand with a bang, shooting upwards more than a meter high, pulsating violently and appearing very unstable.

Mai Ge instinctively took two steps back, watching the somewhat turbulent flame in Amy's hand. The flame was larger, its color deeper than before, leaning towards purple. After releasing this flame, the redness on Amy's face gradually faded.

The surrounding temperature rose rapidly due to the flame, becoming even more terrifying than the flames she had released before.

"Retract." Amy said seriously, looking at the seemingly uncontrollable flame in her hand. She slowly clenched her hand inwards, and the somewhat turbulent flame seemed to be grasped by an invisible hand, slowly compressed together, transforming into a deep blue purple fireball in her small palm.

"This is probably what genius is all about." Mai Ge thought with a touch of pride, watching Amy toy with the fireball in her hand for a while before it was extinguished by Amy's grip. Moreover, this stormy factor seemed to enhance the power of Amy's fireball spell, but he needed to find an opportunity to verify this.

After confirming that Amy had cast the fireball spell without any further adverse reactions, Mai Ge re-tied her hair into braided double ponytails. She liked this hairstyle and would probably keep it for a while before changing it.

Putting the comb behind the counter, Mai Ge glanced at the time—it was exactly 7:30—time to open for business. He headed towards the door.

Mai Ge unlocked the door and pulled it in. A young woman stood outside, and he paused, momentarily stunned. She appeared to be around twenty years old, of medium height and slender build, wearing a light gray cotton-linen dress and a silk scarf embroidered with a golden lily draped over her shoulders. Her long, straight black hair was neatly combed, her face delicate, and her dark eyes exceptionally bright, giving her an artistic and intellectual air.

The woman seemed about to knock when the door suddenly opened inwards. Her outstretched hand froze, and she looked at Mai Ge somewhat embarrassedly, withdrawing her hand. However, she still asked gracefully, "Hello, is this Amy's house?"

When Luna saw Mai Ge come out of the door, she was also a little surprised. "Who is this clean-looking man? Why is he here? He's taken over Amy's house and opened this restaurant... Could it be!" Some bad thoughts flashed through her mind.

Although the Gray Temple maintained order in the Chaos City, many things still happened silently in the shadows, things even the Gray Temple couldn't completely prevent.

"Teacher Luna, what brings you here!" Before Mai Ge could speak, Amy, hearing the voice, ran over and crawled under his arm. Her eyes were full of surprise as she looked at Luna, and she proudly tugged at Mai Ge's apron, saying, "This is my Daddy. His cooking is super delicious!"
