Chapter 113 - 71) Planning the future

Akira opened his eyes.

He was back in his room.

The ceiling, the walls, the faint hum of the fan… everything was exactly the same.

He slowly turned his head toward the clock on the wall.

Still the same position.

Still the same second.

Not even a moment had passed in reality.

Akira let out a small breath and lay back on his bed.

His mind immediately replayed everything that had happened inside the simulation.

There were two major events—two things more important than anything else he had ever experienced in any previous simulation.

---

1. He lived till the age of ninety

For the first time in his entire simulation history…

He survived.

For the first time—

He reached the end.

A natural death.

Ninety years old.

He didn't die to an Otsutsuki.

He didn't die to a war.

He didn't die because someone stronger appeared.

He simply… lived a full life.

Akira felt something shake quietly inside his chest.

That alone proved one thing:

The path he was walking had the potential to surpass even the Otsutsuki threat.

---

2. Travel to alternate timeline

In this simulation, he travelled to a parallel ninja world—a ninja world untouched by his interference.

Akira doesn't know what to believe; his mind falls back on the two theories that were popular even in his previous life.

The first is the idea of infinite worlds, each one branching endlessly.

The second is that whenever something in time is altered, an alternate world is created as a result.

Akira stands between these two possibilities, unsure which truth he's actually witnessing.

---

Akira began to wonder whether he should even consider entering the alternate timeline. Right now, he hasn't awakened his Rinnegan abilities.

If he went there prematurely and ended up with a different ability—one that didn't allow him to return—he could be trapped in that world forever. The risk was too great.

So Akira chose to wait.

Wait for his Rinnegan ability to awaken.

Wait for the certainty he needed.

But three hours slipped by in the blink of an eye, and nothing changed. His eyes remained the same, and no surge of power stirred within him.

Growing irritated, Akira finally snapped, "Hey, system… when is my Rinnegan ability going to awaken?"

The system responded in its usual emotionless tone, "Host, your Rinnegan ability is awakening. However, because it is a time–space type ability, its activation speed is slower than usual.

Perhaps it is because you currently lack a strong desire. Without a powerful emotional trigger, the awakening proceeds gradually.

Just like Itachi Uchiha—he did not awaken Amaterasu for years, until he desperately needed a stronger technique to save his partner and defeat Yagura. Your situation is similar."

Akira paused, absorbing that explanation. It made sense in a way he didn't want it to. He leaned back, exhaling slowly. Sometimes… living a peaceful, comfortable life wasn't actually good for growth. Stability could dull the edge of ambition.

But Akira didn't dwell on it. He still had two years before the space–time disruption occurred. And even if his ability didn't awaken before then, he could simply choose not to travel to an alternate timeline. It wasn't like he had anything meaningful to offer that world anyway.

"Right, System?" Akira muttered under his breath.

---

Akira's thoughts drifted to another reward he had earned from the simulation—

the three resurrection chances.

A terrifyingly powerful reward, one that could bring someone back to life… or even resurrect himself.

He tapped his fingers on the bedsheet, thinking hard.

Should he save them?

Should he use them?

Should he keep the resurrection chances reserved… for himself?

Akira already knew the answer to that.

He had promised Tsunade—that he would save two chances for her. He would never break that promise.

So the real question was whether he should keep the third resurrection chance for himself… or spend it.

After several long minutes, Akira finally exhaled.

"…I should use it."

It wasn't arrogance. It was simple logic.

He didn't believe he would die easily—not anytime soon. And even if his luck ran out one day, he could always earn similar rewards again through the simulation.

And right now, the only true threat that could end him was the future Ōtsutsuki clan. He still had years before they appeared. If he still couldn't defeat them by then…

One extra life wouldn't make a difference.

Now came the hard part:

Who should he resurrect with this single chance?

His first thought was someone overwhelmingly strong—someone who could help Konoha and strengthen the Uchiha.

Hashirama Senju.

A good choice… but also a terrible one.

Akira wasn't even sure if Hashirama wanted to return. The man had lived a complete life. Fulfilled his goals. Achieved peace in his own way. Dragging him back might even disrespect his wishes.

Next came the Fourth Hokage.

Minato Namikaze was a brilliant option.

But Akira asked, "System, can the Fourth Hokage be revived?"

The system's reply made his stomach sink, though he wasn't surprised.

"Host, the Fourth Hokage's soul resides within the Shinigami's stomach. Resurrection requires the soul's presence in the Pure Land. Therefore, revival is not possible."

Akira sighed.

It made sense. Minato's soul was sealed inside a different dimension. Even Nagato's Rinne Tensei required access to the Pure Land. So the Fourth was impossible.

But then…

A name appeared in his mind.

A perfect choice.

No drawbacks.

No uncertainty.

Shisui Uchiha.

A smile tugged at Akira's lips.

Shisui fit everything.

First—he was an Uchiha.

Second—he loved Konoha with all his heart.

Third—and most important—he was strong, loyal, and selfless to the very end.

He had given his life for the sake of peace between his clan and the village.

Bringing him back…

It wouldn't just benefit Konoha.

It would be a reward Shisui deserved.

Akira nodded to himself.

"Yes… Shisui is perfect."

---

Akira stood from his bed and stretched lightly.

The decision was made. The target was chosen.

Now it was time to act.

He whistled.

A dark shadow rippled near the window—then a large black divine Raven stepped out of the distortion, its two eyes glowing faintly purple.

Yatagarasu.

It raised one of its wing above as if greetings.

KRAAA

Akira smiled at it and spoke calmly:

"Go to the Hokage Building. Tell Tsunade she can use her two resurrection chances tonight—exactly as Chronarch promised her."

The raven bowed its head slightly as if nodding.

Akira continued:

"After that, go to Itachi. Tell him to bring Shisui's two Mangekyo Sharingan eyes—to Training Ground Number 3. Tell Tsunade the address as well."

He paused, then added:

"And tell both of them this:

If they want to bring witnesses, they may. I don't mind."

Yatagarasu's two jewel like eyes glowed in acknowledgment.

Akira gave a small smile.

"That's all."

The raven spread its wings—

—and vanished through the window, dissolving into the night sky like a streak of living darkness.

Of course, the raven couldn't speak with human tongues.

But communication was simple for it.

Yatagarasu would pull the target into a brief illusion-space—

a perfect mental realm where an image of Akira would speak directly to them, conveying every detail.

Fast, silent, and impossible to misunderstand.

---

Once the raven left, Akira exhaled softly.

He washed up, changed into clean clothes, and prepared himself mentally.

Tonight would be important.

Tonight… he would bring Shisui Uchiha back into the world of the living.

After a short while, Akira stepped outside and began walking toward Training Ground Number 3, ready for what was to come.
