Hearing his cold words, the many Ninjas assisting the wounded could no longer endure it.
"Damn you, Sasori! Do you understand what you're saying?"
"You disgusting traitor!"
"He must be executed with the most severe punishment possible!"
But at that moment, a voice suddenly rang out from the ruined spectator stands.
"What are you doing? You are forbidden to attack him! I command you in the name of the Daimyo of the Land of Wind! Everyone, capture the Ninja from Konoha!"
The Sunagakure's Ninjas looked toward the source of the voice with shock and fury.
"How can this be... It really is the Daimyo's command."
"Your Highness, you cannot do this!"
The Daimyo of the Land of Wind was highly displeased. "Ninja are merely my retainers. Do you dare to disobey my command?"
Looks of humiliation crossed the Ninjas' faces, but they ultimately lowered their heads.
"As you command."
"Tsk tsk." Setsuna felt he had truly seen something new, 'Compared to Sunagakure, Konoha seemed progressive.'
'At the very least, the Third Hokage could maintain his dignity before the Daimyo, and someone like Danzo even dared to directly scold the Daimyo.'
Rasa felt a wave of relief internally. He never imagined the one to turn the situation around would be that foolish Daimyo.
Sasori frowned slightly. For some reason, he felt a strange sense of coldness.
"Although I don't care about the stance of those mediocre people, this is fine too. At least no one will interrupt our fight now." Sasori manipulated the Third Kazekage puppet, preparing to launch another attack.
But Setsuna noticed the Konoha's group was in trouble again. Minato had summoned Gamabunta to block the Sunagakure's Ninjas.
"Apologies, my friends seem to be having some difficulties."
Sasori's gaze was cold. "I will not let you leave."
"Don't worry, I didn't say I was leaving. Just giving them a little assistance." Setsuna bit his finger, preparing to form hand seals.
On the other side, Yahiko, Konan, and Nagato were still stunned by the shock of the sudden chaos.
"This is too chaotic. What is going on with the dealings between these great nations?" Konan felt her brain short-circuiting, 'How did a proper Chunin Exams suddenly become a trigger for war?'
"Yahiko, what should we do?" Nagato asked.
"Let's not get involved in their conflict. Try to save the people from the smaller villages." Yahiko sighed. They at least had the ability to protect themselves, but what about the examinees from the smaller villages? They could only tremble in fear amidst this chaotic war.
Just then, another terrible roar echoed through the coliseum, and the ground shook violently.
They looked up and were shocked to see a massive, towering wall now standing in the arena. It had crushed the coliseum's walls, seemingly splitting the arena in half.
Then, the wall actually began to move. With a casual motion, it pushed over another large section of the coliseum's ruins.
"That's... a summoned creature!" Nagato's pupils contracted sharply. "It's a summon called by Chiaki Setsuna!"
"A summoned creature of this caliber..." Yahiko said in astonishment, "It seems he wasn't going all out in his fight with you. This summoned creature alone would have been enough to defeat you."
"Bastard! Which fool is using another Rashomon-like thing..." The Daimyo of the Land of Wind clung tightly to a section of wall, cursing loudly, before finally realizing that the thing destroying the coliseum this time didn't look like a gate at all.
Titan lowered its enormous head, staring down at the chattering human.
"A snake... such a huge snake..." The Daimyo of the Land of Wind felt a sudden warmth in his trousers.
Remembering its master's instruction to be as friendly as possible towards humans, Titan bared its gleaming white teeth in a smiling gesture. It then watched as that human foamed at the mouth and fell from the shattered platform.
Titan was startled, 'This couldn't be considered my fault, could it?'
Fortunately, everyone's attention was captured by Titan's immense form, and no one noticed a certain unfortunate individual's fatal misstep.
"Minato! Take everyone inside Titan's body!" Setsuna shouted loudly, "I'll have Titan carry you all back!"
His Vast Knocking was an indiscriminate attack. Using it on the Sunagakure's Ninja would also affect the Konoha group. To avoid any mishaps, it was better to have Titan transport them back.
Hearing Setsuna's words, Minato finally snapped out of his shock. "Setsuna, is this your summon?"
"That's right," Setsuna replied while simultaneously dealing with the attacks from the Third Kazekage puppet.
"Did he summon the ancestor of Ryuchi Cave?" Even the usually fearless Gamabunta was dumbfounded. He felt this was just too absurd. After all, even the main body of the Katsuyu Sage from Shikkotsu Forest might not possess such sheer size.
Minato quickly directed everyone to enter Titan's mouth. Although Titan looked terrifying, they were all Ninja, familiar with summons, and could overcome their inner fear.
"Stop it! Don't let it escape!" Rasa still hadn't given up.
Some of the more bold Sunagakure's Ninja mustered their courage and launched attacks. However, whether it was Ninjutsu bombardment or sword strikes, nothing had any effect on Titan. It was impossible to even leave a mark on its scales.
"Tsuchikage-sama! Use your Dust Release!" Rasa began ordering the Tsuchikage around again.
"Hmph, now you want me to use Dust Release." Onoki snorted coldly. Although the giant serpent's size was exaggerated, he wasn't afraid. Nothing could withstand Dust Release, and a larger size just made it an easier target.
"Dust Release: Detachment of the Primitive World Technique!"
A transparent beam struck Titan's head. Titan immediately let out a thunderous roar of pain.
Hearing Titan's agonized cry, Onoki's heart, instead, sank with alarm.
Although the cry sounded miserable, the sheer volume and vitality in it didn't sound like a creature on the verge of death, or even seriously wounded.
Onoki looked closely and saw that his Dust Release had worked. It had cut through the scales and even disintegrated a significant portion of the flesh.
The problem was, the giant serpent was simply too massive, with a body width of nearly 30 meters. His Dust Release had, at best, given the serpent a flesh wound.
This was the first time since its birth that Titan had suffered such a 'severe' injury. It immediately went berserk, thrashing and rolling around violently on the ground of Sunagakure in a furious tantrum.
A toddler barely over a year old throwing a tantrum on the ground might be very cute.
But if that toddler is a kilometer long, it's not cute… it's terrifying and horrifying.
For the people of Sunagakure, it was exactly that. Titan's wild rolling destroyed all the buildings near the coliseum, crushing countless civilians to death.
"Rasa, look what you've done! What have you been protecting?" A Sunagakure's Ninja roared in fury. If Rasa hadn't insisted on Oniki using Dust Release, Titan would have long since left Sunagakure. All the losses Sunagakure was suffering now were because of Rasa.
Hearing these angry shouts, Rasa felt bitter but couldn't speak his mind, 'Wasn't I doing this for Sunagakure's future?'
